Eiji's Ark of Species

I'm gonna start running some of the newer (and maybe some of the older) homebrew races I make on the wiki over here too.  Your commentary is delicious and moist.  I must have it.

We start with the opposite end where Santa is, with Pingu, the penguin people.

Let's do monsters as well as races.  A comical look at the Plaid Dragon, terror of taverns.

Breath Weapon (Su)

A plaid dragon has two types of breath weapon, a cone of sonic bagpipe music and a cone of intoxicating gas. Creatures within the cone must succeed on a Fortitude save or become drunk for 3 rounds per age catagory. Intoxication gives a -4 penalty to dexterity, intelligence, and wisdom and gives a 20% failure chance with any task which requires concentration, including spellcasting.

As both are cones you might want to specify that it is the cone of gas that causes intoxication. RAW here both do.

Shrug it Off (Ex)
Very old and older plaid dragons are capable of pushing through difficult times with a nice brandy and some iron will. Any negative effect (including damage) which occurs to a plaid dragon does not take effect until 1 round later. A plaid dragon could literally be hit with a trillion damage and not be affected by it until 6 seconds later when his body remembers that this really hurts. It is possible for the plaid dragon to reduce or negate the effect on it if it manages to take appropriate action before the end of its next round, such as casting remove curse before the curse recieved takes effect.
You might want to read some of the arguments about Iron Heart Surge. Effect is not a good word to use here.

Noted and clarification away.

Oh?  What's a good wording, because I do intend it to be fairly far reaching.  It can't negate the sun, though you could not be affected by the sun for 1 round, if the sun had an effect on you at all. I'll chance this one soon as I know how...

Recently I was looking for Tibbit-like races that turn into animals, but I only know Tibbit and a kitsune race I made, so I was inspired to make this.  Baleful polymorphtastic!  Give it a look.
