Do you want me to start working on a PC, or should I hold off for more info?

If so, what starting level point buy are we using?

You can go ahead.  32 point buy, max hp 1st level, average or roll thereafter.

I'll start with a 3rd level wild elf druid and post a link as I get him fleshed out. I can always raise his level later if you say you want to start at a higher level. I wouldn't mind starting at 5th, but I don't know what you've got planned.

Edit: Here's the link to the sheet (WIP)

Robby, any capabilities you'd like paired with your druid?

I'm pretty open. I was just going with something I thought made sense to come from Alfheim. Once my guy hits level 5 he'll probably be okay with melee. I'm debating moving some points around to focus on archery at the lower levels.

A rogue could be handy for Trapfinding (if the campaign needs that) and/or flanking in melee. Arcane magic is always rad.

Neither of those is really a part of bhu's list.   :lol

Edit: I'm leaning towards Initiator Hexblade.

Yeah, you said you didn't like standard casters. That should be fine.

I've just never been a fan of vancian casting. I'm bad at estimating resource management needs when it comes to spells.

Thats why I made the elicitation classes.  It allows casting limited to a specific focus without most of the nook work.

Did you make your own modified casting class that's similar to a druid?

I don't have anything against the elicitation classes, but I think that they're too limited for a two-person party.  If we had four or five people then their focused approach would be alright.

Don't worry about whipping one up. I was just curious.

There is a (non-bhu) homebrew invocation druid alternative around if you want me to dig up a link.

I think they're a little too focused for a party of two, thus me looking at maneuvers.

I'm curious to look at it, if you don't mind. I'm not so far along with my character that I can't change it, if Bhu and I both like the class.

Thanks. It's interesting, but I'm kind of torn what I'd do with it. I imagine all my time would be spent entangling things or pinging/healing at a distance.

Invocation users just don't have the versatility of actual spellcasters.

True. I think I'll stick with druid. That way we have one versatile caster and one with all-day resources.

Bhu, what's our official starting level? I wouldn't mind starting at 5th, but if you want it down to 3rd, I can do that.
