Well, yes--and once I realize I'm on a boat IC, I may have to reconsider my tactics.

Playing the character about the way I react when I'm woken up unexpectedly by a crisis. ;)

So, want us posting in Initiative now, or just post and sort out the results in order of initiative?

Relevant.
  :lmao
Yes, definitely.

I actually think I need the results of caelic's rolls, as it will affect the actions of others. Ginger is now at the top of initiative, and it will be relevant to her whether she's in the water or in the boat (next to a large bear). Even if caelic succeeds in keeping the boat balanced, there's a chance this his new size will push people out anyway, though making the dex check to stay in won't actually take an action. It won't be relevant until we know if the boat's still upright.

Oh, and from my point of view: is the first guard I kept kicking dead yet? :p

On her third strike, her foot connects with the guard's head, and he drops to the floor, a sickening terror contorted into his face.

Yes. Yes, I'd say so.

Technically, it's up to the player who drops an enemy to determine whether their final blow actually kills or just incapacitates. It definitely seemed like you intended to kill, though, from my perspective.

When in doubt, I'll generally assume that players are aiming to kill unless they state otherwise.

Crap, the boat's gone... ;a; I'm tied up and a MAGE! I can't swim! (Well, that remains to be seen. But I probably can't.)

So what sort of checks are we making in response, Venn?

I swear, I didn't mean to make this so complicated. I've never actively tried to kill most of the party in the first scene!  :lol

Heading out for the day so I thought I would make those rolls. Turns out Bigogan's in the water and still bound... Um... Yeah.

Got yer back.  Volsk may have been disoriented when he woke up, but he's neither a bastard nor a complete simpleton.  I'll get you back to the boat if you start to sink.

Well... I don't think that I can swim while bound xD

Although - weren't we all chained together? Shouldn't that keep me in the boat with whoever I was chained to?

The Drow filed through the chain, so you're only connected so long as the chain stays through the loop of the shackle. The boat still tipped over, though. The dex check is for characters to be able to grab onto the side of the boat and keep from being completely in the water.

As for your own bonds, you did see a peer apparently use magic to help slip their bonds. You could theoretically do the same thing. ;)

Yeah, but it'd probably be a little hard for him to do it now that he's having to fight to keep himself above water.

True, true. Nothing builds a team like throwing them all into conflict together though, right? :flutter
