Sounds like folks are interested in changing up their characters, so here's how it works:

You can play up to two characters at a time.  I may NPC other characters as I have been if you prefer.

All of your characters have the same XP total, so new characters will be the same level as the one you have now.

All new characters come in with standard beginning equipment.

You may start an Adventurer's Guild, where you can pool resources and buy equipment from the PHB.  In essence you can join the guild and rent/borrow equipment other guild members found.  Obviously characters will want to keep found items useful to them, but scrolls, potions, excess magic weapons and the like can be repurposed this way.  Treat it like your own personal item shop that always buys/sells at market price.  Delving and finding items is the only way to "stock up".

With Melisander's familiar scouting the passages ahead for danger, and finding none, you are able to travel safely to the entrance well.

Sorry guys, I've relied on the site to send me an update when someone posts, and it seems to have stopped working again.

To answer your question, Dixon: Magic items are rare and valuable and there isn't a large-scale market for them.  Your best bet for finding one would be in the dungeon itself.

Pointing a thumb toward the way you came, Gorbug says, "We should return and rest.  I want to apply silver to my axe in case we run into another one of those."

Cool, we'll stick to 5e for this game.

I'll also mention that if you want to play a different character, we can make that happen as well.  The party has cleared to the point where you can head back out to the tavern, and that's where Gorbug is headed (to rest and add silver to his axe).  Let me know if there's anyhting you want to do before that; otherwise I'll skip ahead.

Good to see Travis and Sherman in the flesh last weekend.

With the new year, it might be a good time to reflect on where we are and what we want to do.  Is this format working for us?  Do we like the characters we have?  Do we want to continue this game?  Stick with 5e, or play something else?  Is there something we've been itching to try out that we haven't gotten to?

I was introduced to a system called Savage Worlds at the convention.  It uses rules created for the Deadlands RPG (which is one of the campaign worlds).  The system is super simple, and it allows characters of all shapes and sizes.  Like GURPS without all the math.  The same ruleset is used for fantasy, sci-fi, superhero, and horror games.  The campaign world I'm most excited about is the upcoming Rifts conversion.  Anyone familiar with Rifts knows that it's a multi-genre world that includes dragons, wizards, psychics, cyborgs, aliens, and monsters. I'll be putting something together for a game at next year's convention, but if you're interested we can do something here as well; either in addition to or instead of what we're playing now.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.  I'm more than happy to press on with what we're currently doing if that's what we want; this isn't an attempt to sway you any which way.  I noticed that we stalled out a bit toward the end of the year, and I'm checking to make sure we still want to continue.

The corridor winds a very short distance and ends at a stout wooden door.

So will ayone be able to make it to Dundracon?  Dylan will be there, and Spencer will be there for a day (Saturday the 13th).  It would be great to see you.

Gorbug takes advantage of the bookish Elf's slowness, and takes a short rest of his own.  Soon after the last of the party passes below the falling stone, it collapses again with a resounding thud.  The corridor leads to a t-intersection; begging the question: left or right?  Each way leads a short distance before turning in the same direction, the one you're facing before the the t-intersection.

I could always run a one-shot game with different characters.  Mainly I hope to see you guys more often and throw some (non-digital) dice.

Happy New Year!

This is your firendly reminder that Dundracon weekend is only a month and a half away!  I don't have a schedule time for the game I'm hosting yet; but when I get it I'll let you know.  What day works best for you guys?  I think Sherman mentioned Saturday?

I don't think I'll be able to make it for a live game that weekend.

Boo!

Raising the glowing axe above his head, Gorbug grins a bit and brings it down on the creature's neck; removing the head entirely.  He then drops the conjured weapon and gathers the treasure he was able to collect.  "I have an idea on how I'd like to spend some of this silver.  Let's go find the exit."

Yes.

Are we still in initiative order?

Gorbug will end it for certain.

Setting the chest lid container down, Gorbug hands the conjured sword back to Melisander, asking, "Can you make this into an axe like mine?"

The Goblin, seeing the danger subside, runs past Gorbug to the fallen chest.  Removing his cloak, he fills it with as much as he can carry safely; folding the corners together to make a makeshift sack.  Gorbug inspects his captive for treachery, then lays it down in the section of tunnel where the pillar of stone fell down earlier.  He then heads over to the chest and fills the still-intact lid with as much as he can before returning to the rest of the party.
