Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto.

Created by Deathwishjoe, I'm simply reposting the trick here in simplified form.

(click to show/hide)

The Trick: Stack templates that don't increase CR on an effigy. Possess it via magic jar/secret chest shenanigans. Be a badass robot with ridiculous stats.

Oh hells yeah !!

iirc - the Effigy Master PrC can also do this,
and it might have an earlier entry these days.
There's gotta be more templates to stack now.
Maybe Fiend Of Possession can work here, too.

To be precise, You only need the following to create an effigy of doom.

2 DC 15 skill checks (Doable from level 1)
Craft Magic Arms and Armor, Craft Wondrous Item, and Craft Construct (doable by level 5 due to the CMA&A requirements)
1500gp and 80xp for a 1HD Tiny effigy with all the templates you could ever want. Yeah, they are fragile, but they have insane AC and a ridiculous to-hit and damage.

And if I remember correctly, when you level, the number of HD would increase, since it is your body...

"Now that everyone's so happy, this is probably a good time to tell you I ate your parents."

hefty dose of TO interpretations:

1) Artificer ... assumes you can take Craft Wondrous Item , because your "caster" level is 3
2) OA Sam ... assumes the Katana + FanShieldThingy ability = Craft Arms and Armor
3) Anything really ... qualifies for Craft Construct
during 3rd level = enough GP to be able to make it

I don't think artificer works that way, and I don't think OA Samurai actually grants CA&A.

Arty could do this in e6  :lol

he gets Craft Wondrous Item for free @ 3rd and Craft Arms and Armor for free @ 5th
then Craft Construct as your 6th level feat, and you still have the 1st and 3rd level feats free for whatever

Use tauric, then you can stack templates that do increase CR on the humanoid part, and ones that don't on the creature, and get the abilities of both.

Also, mind switch is much better than magic jar if you can get at it.

Well sure, not in a real game ... hence the TO tag.

OA had a lots of stuff that counted as equivalent to X for purposes of qualifying.
It was very annoying ; and perfectly fine refluffing.

It says somewhere that immunity to a type of magic can be lowered voluntarily.

wait, does that mean that psionic sandwich can be done with animate objects and having the object suppress its mind-affecting immunity?

animate objects should be cheaper than PAO.
