D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder / Re: BEHOLD!

It was also one of the earliest OP builds, and it’s so simple that it was likely to be actually used in games. Snow… something was one poster who popularized it, way back on 339.
Heh. That would be my wife, Snow Savant.

I memories recalls, she didn't make the build with the Spiked Chain - she made it with the weapon in the 3.0 Oriental Adventures book called the "Chain".  Smaller damage than the Spiked Chain, but could be used with TWF fighting.  It was called the Gatling Chain build, or something like that.  I'd ask her, but she's visiting family out-of-state at the moment.

That was like 20 years ago or so.  Holy crap!

And it is preserved here  :)

I'm leaning more towards PF1e actually...kind of irked the links to publish there are broken, though that may be strategic (with PF2e an all).  Other than the stuff there, is there even much of a community for PF1e homebrew/3pp commercially?

What are the rules as far as publishing further support/content for non-SRD classes/systems?  I know WotC/Hasbro doesn't have the best track record for C&D, and would rather not sink my ship before it's left the port...

EDIT: I ask because all research as yet has been murky at best on the legality of it.  Anything explicitly SRD-based can be OGL/OGC-ed legally, but the further out there stuff is a different story.

I've had to talk three people down from suicide in the past two weeks, all of whom I love to death and would be absolutely devastated if they hurt themselves.  While watching the woman I'm still hopelessly in love with go into a death spiral and all I can do in my current position is watch it all unfold.  2022 needs to chill the fuck out, already  :shakefist

Isn't that a bit of a depressing way to live?

Low expectations means minimal disappointment.

I am absolutely SEETHING right now.

My policy for creative works is that I retain the rights to the work until the client accepts them and wishes to use them for a commercial purpose. Normally this is easy to enforce since I have complete control over the files and hand them over as part of the billing process.

I was hired to work on a game. The project was vastly outside of the stated scope, so it ended up eating almost a YEAR.

Due to mismanagement, there was a severe crunch period in the last few days where procedure was basically suspended and files were flying everywhere so the correct people could get stuff done. The game was submitted before the bill was paid.

I was told that I'm charging too much, and wouldn't be paid. I charge federal minimum wage. Even if I charged him JUST for the time spent in biweekly meetings, it'd be hundreds of dollars.

I have 3 days off coming up and Kali Linux on a USB stick with option to re-gather proxies and arm up metasploit...just saying >.>

So aside from the above gloriously imploding thus far as expected, I'm || to hanging my DM at work by his own entrails after he fed the GM a line of bullshit about promotion criteria.  Overnight crew does more work in half a shift than the entire day team combined doubled and yet he has the AUDACITY to fucking promote new hires over us AND THEN FUCKING PUT THEM IN CHARGE OF THE OVERNIGHT SHIFT.  He's fucking dead.  I've fucking had it.

I'm getting a different tattoo before I get my guitars tattooed (not guitars...each one is named, and one of them is no longer in existence, so will be very undead looking...Demona, Circe, Artemis, Hela, and Lillith respectively).  After what happened the beginning of the year and the place I've come out of, I will be getting a semicolon tattoo (I would say to match my daughter's, but mine will be a little more).

The top will be made to look like a crashing wave on the ocean, with the "comma" part looking like a pendulum blade, with the text "You have such oceans within" below.  All of it has very personal meaning, and this one will be on my inner forearm, where it will be readily visible.

Other than my own personal experience down that road, I have just recently lost two friends in the past two years to suicide.

Apologies in advance for the disjointed nature of this post...not my usual fare, but kinda still tired from work and it goes without saying there's a lot more to it than just the above.

As it says on the tin: is there a unified spot where all "official" E6 rules are gathered that isn't 404-ing?

I figured strike while the iron is hot and my muse is turbocharging my writing and composition, so I gave in and splurged on a custom guitar and a custom neck for one of my existing guitars (always ALWAYS wanted a scalloped neck).  I figure I got the new laptop specifically so it can record, so time to have some professional grade gear.  I was saving up for a house down payment, but the market is projected to remain utter crap for at least another 6 months, and you don't find custom neck-thrus for under a grand as a lefty EVER.  Fuck it, you only live once, and I have faces to melt :D

Reverse gravity followed by a shitload of unresistable damage to see if it can die by HP damage is usually a good start.  Having an insanely high CL/ML helps :)

Not so much a rant as an observation: I haven't been able to write lyrics in almost 7 years.  I know it's a direct result of what's on my other rant on another board, but I realized it last night as inspiration struck.  I hadn't put pen to paper to write for myself in forever, and it was like part of my soul returned.  Now I can't shut it off  :lol

I do credit this masterpiece with having an influence on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47e_961OQWE

And also someone who is acting as my muse despite having no clue they are.

7. Living Zombie Cocktail (CoR)
No, it's not actually called that. Creating a living zombie takes Command Undead, Dominate [type], False Life, Feeblemind, and 1,000gp. You can have one living zombie at a time for every modifier from your primary spellcasting stat (Intelligence for wizards, etc.) which is good because you want as many as you can get. Every one you have makes you age half as quickly as you usually would. This effect is cumulative if you have multiple living zombies, so create as many as you can to greatly increase your lifespan. The only problem is they still age as they usually would so you'll have to replace them every 100 years or so (less if they're elves).

If this is based on the creature turned into a living zombie, imprison an Elan zombie and call it done?  No max age, never age again?

Sorry, not familiar with the spell, but I play a lot of REALLY OLD characters (mainly Elans).

Min/Max 3.x / Re: 3.5e Optimized reaper themed spellcaster
« on: February 21, 2021, 03:12:19 AM »
Are you specifically going for a grim reaper type theme, or wanting to be a SoD specialist, or wanting a more rounded necromancer?  The above will be awesome if nothing else due to Anima Mage and Ur-Priest being the shit, but I might be able to come up with a save or die/suck/lose/wet-your-pants-scared build if you'd rather not deal with being MAD (posting late, so might be wrong on Binders being Cha focused and not Wis >.> ).

Wizard 6/Swiftblade 9/Abjurant Champion 5|EPIC| Swiftblade +5 (4 levels of which are the epic progression)
Erudite 6/Thrallherd 10/Anarchic Initiate 4|EPIC| Thrallherd +5 (5 levels of which are epic progression)

AFB but I believe you can get into Thrallherd at level 6 even (and likely earlier with the right early entry shenanigans).  This gives you an always replenishing army, access to free rewritable pillagable cohorts, endless possible additional abilities to subsume via Fusion, and even unbuffed, virtually unassailable defense in the form of always-on action economy rapage detailed above.  Furthermore, you can literally sacrifice thralls for XP if you want to Psy-ref item creation feats (using their XP even for the casting) for any item you can muster the CL/ML for at basically no cost, including Psychic Psurgery to grab every power ever known.  Spells, same way, only even easier, as you just recycle cohorts until you've learned every spell in the game.  Theoretically, every spell and power exists as an arcane spell and a power with the right thralls, so you'll have some nice redundancy as well.

Don't forget to include a high-powered metaconcert in your mythal, and don't forget to include a planar bubble to a mutable time trait plane (such as a demiplane you've created akin to one of the more insane ones from Eberron, with 20-1 turn ration or something insane), and THEN put your Node there.

Last but not least, don't forget to pillage feats from your psicrystal and/or thralls and/or familiar(s).

This guy is the epitome of versatility, and also EXTREMELY easy to skyrocket into absolutely untouchable territory.  There is a reason the next build behind Pun-pun uses Thrallherd to acquire the same power, albeit not as quickly and without eating brains.

Summon Elemental reserve feat could do it.  Park a fire elemental on that puppy and keep recasting it for free :)
