Heironymous enters and says "Sure, Nolen. Who are your friends? I don't think I recognize them."

The unnamed man speaks to the women, "Is that what you call look out?". But before she could answer Nolen jumps in and says "Oh give her a break already." The guy opens his mouth but closes it, deciding it's probably not worth it. His control slips for a moment and you feel a moment of his frustration.

"Oh where to start, maybe with once upon a time? No? Ok. How about this is Herald Carvito and his apprentice Limis, following standard protocol they showed early in disguise to talk to a trusted contact. We were discussing You need to stop talking." Carvito interrupts.

Limis instead finishes for them both, "What they mean is over the last few weeks the sailors have gotten out of control and now they are sinking each other's boats right? You should focus on that and obtain any evidence you can before our official entry and it'd help us immensely."

Carvito almost throwing his hands in the air surrenders, "Why not just jump start everything!?" he says in exasperation.

"Oh, speaking of that, I know a little thief that would help for future favors." Nolen offers while Limis suggests, "Tristan, a scroll worker, has some work over there today and could probably help get you in".

And with that Carvito just takes a seat. You don't need to be psionic to know he is unhappy.

"Official entry? So are you with some outside law enforcement agency? Trying to find evidence is exactly what led me to here. I was going to ask Nolen if he'd noticed anything suspicious, since he's usually around the area where the boat sank."

Everyone looks as each other for a moment.

Limis offers up an excuse, "Well do we rarely make it out here." But Carvito on the other hand takes it as a personal insult. "I am Herald Carvito, office delegate of the one and only king in these lands. Your father has failed to bring Robert's to justice for years and petitioned for us to come and resolve matters for him." You sense the man is in perfect health, or he'd be having a coronary right about now.

Ignoring Carvito's outburst, "Nope, I didn't see anything." Nolen says chippy as ever with a simile on his face. "But I did hear something sawing on the boat and no one walked around on the dock."

Heironymous' face flushes brightly and he bows respectfully and says "Begging your pardon Herald. My father had not mentioned to me that you'd be in town investigating the matter. Please allow me to offer my services as well as those of my friends. As I said, we'd already begun looking into this independently. Thanks for the tip, Nolen. If you don't have something else for us to do Herald, we'll go look around at the boat itself next. It sounds like some one swam out and cut a hole in it under the water, from what Nolen described."

Heir proudly salutes and says "Yes Sir!" then turns and quickly heads back out of the building and towards the docks.

Galen does his best to hide his amusement and follows Heir, sure that Mary will follow.

Mary of course follows Galen. Limis leads the group down to the docks hoping to catch the aforementioned scribe but he is no were in sight. Revising her plan, "Maybe you can still get in. Heir, I'm sure they know you and we could make usage of that. Just walk up and tell them your here on a slightly less legal inquiry as a favor to Roberts. Someone is accusing one of his men of starting a brawl about two nights ago and legal council needs to look like they at least made an effort. Play towards his ego and the fact he probably considers you less than a real man."

"And if it helps with your conscious, one of his hired men did in fact start a brawl. He just didn't win it, and it wasn't here." She adds with a wink.

Heironymous looks so proud that you imagine he's about to burst with it. "Of course, Limis." Then after a pause "So what exactly do you think we should be looking for?..."

"Anything that would link him to the sunken boat this morning, or maybe some cargo that looks as fishy as it smells?" she replies.

"I'd like to poke around a bit more first, then. Look at the sunken ship itself. Talk to the crew of it about what was onboard. You know... to get a better idea of what to actually look for.

However, if I do this, they'll no doubt sniff a rat if I then go board their ship with some story about a brawl. So maybe someone else can poke around in the sunken ship?"

"Then I leave you to it."

The docks are just as busy as before. Robert's place is a square wooden building with a wooden shingle roof build just off to the side of the main docks. It's large enough to pull a fishing boat inside the side allowing cargo to be unloaded unseen and store it. Most of his boats of course are at the docks on his self proclaimed owner pier.

The entrance is "guarded" by a man dressed in simply clothes sitting at a makeshift desk. Officially, is job is to greet visitors of course.
