I turn around, opening my umbrella and pulling Cadenza underneath.

As you open the umbrella and hold it over the two of you, you may make a vision sense roll.

In slightly more important news, the both of you clearly see just what was making that sound.  It's quite large, easily towering over the buildings around you.  An unnaturally pale, unnaturally tall humanoid figure, dressed in a strange white shawl.  You can't entirely make out its face, as its covered in floating white squares that appear to float just beyond its skin, like some sort of video distortion.

From where you stand, you can't tell if it's heading towards you or past you.

Aiming for 12.
“Hast thou not felt in forest gloom, as gloaming falls on dark-some dells, when comes a whisper, hum and hiss; savage growling sounds a-near, dazzling flashes around thee flicker, whirring waxes and fills thine ears: has thou not felt then grisly horrors that grip thee and hold thee?”

As the umbrella opened, you both noticed an odd slip of paper stuck to the inside of the umbrella.  At first it seemed to have nothing more than a thin red line on it, but as soon as the umbrella was fully opened, the line opened, like a closed eye opening wide.  The eye is very stylized, and seems to be... releasing some sort of static-y sound.  At least it isn't looking at you.  Probably.

The strange tall creature continues to lumber down the street towards you.

"Stay under the umbrella" Serako urgently whispers.

I stare at her.  I am boggled.  Absolutely boggled.

"Okay.  I'll stay under the umbrella.  Do you suggest that we move the umbrella--with us under it as well, since that is clearly so important--to somewhere not in that goddamn thing's way?."

Serako nods and points to a nearby doorway.  She starts leading him that direction, making sure he stays covered by the umbrella.

The two of you head to a nearby doorway, and the creature continues to lumber ever closer.  As the creature draws nearer, the static sound coming from the eye grows louder and louder.  In short time, the creature reaches the part of the road you were standing on, and the static from the eye grows so loud you're sure the creature must be able to hear it.

But it does not, and continues down the road.  As it draws further and further away, the static decreases in volume, and by the time it has passed out of sight, the static is inaudible.

By this point, you can't even hear the creature any more.  The remainder of your travelling to Moongate park is uneventful.

The time is now 2:00.

Without leaving the relative safety of the umbrella, I'll start looking around the bits of the park that I can see, scanning for locusts.

The park is eerily still and quiet.  So quiet, in fact, that you are pretty certain that if you could hear locusts, you would have by now.

I frown.  Aren't locusts supposed to...plague or something?  They should be all over the place.  You know, plaguing.  Killing firstborn children.  That sort of thing.

I turn to Serako.  "Well, Mekakushi said you'd been here before, right?  Do you have any idea where we should start looking?"

"This is just like last time.  I couldn't find the woman.  I was almost too late."  But I found the lights in the end...  was it somewhere specific.  I hope I can find it...

"Try this way." Serako leads Angelo towards the park that she can remember in her mind, where she found the lights.
