Title: 5e Flying Races?
Post by: TC X0 Lt 0X on July 08, 2017, 09:01:54 PM
I noticed a few races from 5e souces have a base fly speed.
I havent got to play 5e yet but will be soon. Is havig a fly speed as strong as it was in 3.5?

Aaracokra in EE , also have an "Only If the DM has Trousers" warning to it.
alt Tiefling in SCAG , without the dm self-esteem part.
Plane Shift egyptian (in UA) has a flying race 100% normalized, Kasz just added it on his list.

Kobolds have been upgraded to a pc race, but not the Flying version ... however the SCAG tiefling points how to do it.
You can craft a Flying Broomstick at level 3 but it's a little expensive at that level.
Cheap once you get a Rare consumable, which you sell, getting an average of 2 crafted Uncommons from the gold.

Halfling or Gnome Chain-Lock , can be carried by their flying Familiar+ (give or take some str calculations).
This is officially considered to be naughty naughty (no link bad aDMg).
But yeah flying is (too) powerful early, while potentially commonplace soon after.
