Ice Queen works just like Thrallherd in terms of recruitment, and Thrallherd is core.  The ability does have a basis. 

Also, where do you get that followers have a higher level with given PC classes?  A level 5 Human Warrior is the same as a level 5 Human Fighter in all respects, including Leadership.

Trickery devotion always looks interesting, I just wish that it could double my class abilities.   :p
