Still standing there like a bump on the log while other people talk about him he adds, "I feel better now then I did when we fought the other guy.". Stretching out he reaches into his backpack and takes a hand full of trail mix to eat and pops the entire thing in his mouth at once.

Once he has enough room in his mouth to speak, through not entirely empty, he asks, "What's next?"

"It be time ta be doin' some restin' an' healin' me thinks." Said the dwarf simply as he began searching through his backpack and making preparations to bed down.

"I think it would be better if we heard what James is here for, or at least if Nami did.  I intend to take first watch since I'm not injured, plus I have a better knack for hearing things in case they are onto us." said Alth.  He too decided to pull some things out of his pack, but used the top of his bedroll as a mat for some stretching exercises.

Nami nodded in agreement. "Yes, I'd like to know what this man wants with me."

"Of course m'lady. As I was saying, my name is James Valoric and I was asked to look after you by a young man named Akurei." James explained as he removed his helmet.

"He wouldn't tell me much, only that you were involved in something dangerous. I heard the sincerity in his voice and was compelled to come find you immediately."

Nami rolled her eyes. "He is a wonderful brother, but he's far too protective."

"A brother's right m'lady." said James with a grin.

"Akurei wasn't very specific as to what you all were doing down here. In fact, he told me absolutely nothing."

James looked to Alth, "I'll take watch with you while the others rest. Perhaps you could tell me what brought you down here?"

"We're investigating a cult that has been causing trouble in the city and presumably elsewhere.  A woman named Voitheia was working with the archivist Toran when he mysteriously disappeared, and she led us to looking at the cult.  We've already killed about five of them I think, one of them even ending his own life rather than be taken prisoner.  One that was still alive only said 'The spy whore is marked for death!' in reference to Nami.  And some cursing in Goblin too, the details of which I still leave to the imagination.  I'm hoping that fellow named Horst Faber can get more from him and use that information wisely."

Alth did some more exercises in order to help keep himself focused, including going over the latest encounters in his head.  He didn't want to be be caught unprepared.

Nalbin busied himself with preparing to bed-down and get a good night's rest. Backpack was dug into, bedroll spread out upon the ground. He would then begin setting up a makeshift fire pit. All this was done while Alth and James spoke.

Provided no one went looking for trouble, the night passed without incident.

Waking up before the rest, partially due to hitting the sack before them, he uncurls him self from his sleeping position to move into a sitting position with his legs crossed. A pale imitation of meditation, either his mind is too chaotic or he is too naive, but never the less it does serve as a way to pass the time quietly.

The sound of pickaxes and shovels can be heard on the other side of the rock blocking the tunnel.

After hearing the noise, Uube gets up and clamps his massive hand over Alth's mouth and with his other hand he shakes him awake.

Once Alth is awake he whispers that he hears someone chipping at the rock blocking the door. Once Alth confirms that he understands Uube goes around waking the rest of the party up.

Alth is slightly annoyed at the way he was woken up but upon being told what's going on he immediately springs into action as well as whispers to Uube "I don't recommend tugging on Nalbin's beard to wake him.  Dwarves hate that."

Once Uube went on to the others Alth quickly put his pack stuff together and did what he could to lessen the look that anyone had spent the night there.  He then sneaked up close to the rocks they had piled and took a few seconds to listen to the diggers in case they were chatting.

Small, high-pitched voices could be heard coming from the other side of the barricade.

"Boss lady gonna be mad if she find out bout dis rockin."

"Boss lady not scare me. Boss lady friend be bombad," said a second.

"Yah," said a third, "Hess be billy berserk if Hess be late for boss lady."

"Just keep on a-digging," the first muttered.
