« on: November 05, 2015, 07:40:39 PM »
Has anyone converted the the Skulk race from Races of Destiny to D&D 5th edition?

Thanks,

Valen

You could try the "variant Humans are anything" approach. A V.human with high dex, +1 dex, +1 whatever, Magical Initiate (Druid) w/ Guidance+Gust+Fog Cloud.

It's not great, but guidance can boost your sneaking and hiding, while fog cloud can let you do it whenever you want (with gust letting you move it with you. Most DMs will allow this).

You can then level into whatever makes you feel more Skulk'ish (druid, rogue or ranger seems best).

Nowhere near perfect, but you could probably do better pretty easily. Expeditious Retreat and Minor Illusion can also do a reasonable job of making you Skulk'ish. You'll never get 3.5E levels of stuff, but a "best fit" isn't too hard.
