I don't know this girl. It was kinda weird.
So, yeah...
Fun fact: I come from a long line of men who have no social skills.
Disturbing moment: When I realized that I saw no problem with how Ikari and Shinji relate to each-other, because after all, my Dad and I are kinda similar in the whole "don't interact well" thing.
Oh, we love each-other, we just have problems expressing it!
I would be the one furthest to the right

There are a bunch of pictures of me in costume here. (http://87392v.deviantart.com/gallery/)
The pic is around two and a half years old. Some random night out, decided to put on something a bit fancier. Standing in the middle of a pond near the university. Judging from my looks, I was somewhat fluish at the time.

Hello, handsome. You sir have a fine sense of style. :love
Fairly recent (waiting for the Avengers premier, as if the earrings weren't a dead giveaway), fairly awful.

Slightly less recent, showing off my new haircut. (Colours are more accurate than the previous.)

There is only room for two hats in my heart (even so, I collect silly headgear) one is this little babe (the pick is rather old, but I've worn that hat for 12 years now)
The other is a hat fairly similar to the black one at the top of DonQuixote's hat-tower.
I wouldn't dare trying to knit a hat. Then again, going through second hand stores has become a rather nice hobby. That combined with all the shoes I have it is small wonder some friends have started to ask questions about my sexuality.
Heh. I learned to knit when I was a kid; in my primary school (in Ireland, for the record), it was required. These days, when I was a hat or some gloves or whatever - or if a friend of mine does - it's just easier to get out some yarn in the colour and fibre I know I like, and knit it up myself, rather than go shopping for one. :flutter
ETA: To keep this on topic, my latest crocheted creation:
The yarn was hand-dyed, and spun for me by a friend of mine. ♥

Hello, handsome. You sir have a fine sense of style. :love
Heh, thanks. Unfortunately, I suspect that I won't get away with dressing like this once I graduate and have to work in the real world.
That's... A lot of books man!
We run our D&D sessions in the college's Science Fiction library. You can't see it in this picture, but we have an entire bookcase devoted to role-playing games.
Things like that can become iconic to the point that people won't recognise you without it. It's hilarious to sneak up on a friend and scare the bejeezus out of 'em when you're dressed or groomed in a way somehow different from your norm.
This. This forever. I once went to the dining hall for breakfast, sat down with my friends, and started eating. Somewhere between fifteen minutes and half an hour later, they realized that I was there.

Love the earrings, and absolutely beautiful hair. It's a fantastic color, and the length is just about perfect for the look you have going. Your eyes are also fascinating--they look brown in the first picture, blue in the second, and green in the third.
----
Anyway, I completely forgot to post more pictures yesterday, so I guess I'll rip some old ones from my Facebook and post them now!
I'm not entirely sure who to blame for this one, but this is from the first D&D campaign I ever played in. Making it about two years old.

Hanging out with friends while they broadcast a radio show. I can't really explain the phone. This would have been from my freshman year of college, so about a year before the previous picture.

Managed to dig out one of the few surviving pictures from my senior prom. The only reason I include it is to demonstrate what happens when I spend half an hour straightening my hair.

Halloween 2008. I decided to dress as the Joker.

...and that's how I discovered that I have basically no pictures of myself. I should fix this.
Edit: Found a couple more lying around and added them.

I haven't shaved for 2.5 weeks now and went out without my hat 2 days ago. Ran in to two friends who didn't recognize me until I was standing right in front of them. I didn't scare them, but they looked rather puzzled about this random guy who was obviously heading towards them.

I love Halloween! My wife and I did costumes for the parties instead of the trick-or-treating... but we did go trick-or-treating with my son, and I'm pretty happy how that turned out:
So in lieu of an actual picture because all the ones I have on hand are shockingly bad, I am going to toss up a doodle one of my friends did for fun.

The straightjacket was made from a poncho that I made from a sheet when I went to a masquerade dinner; the theme being "Greek stuff" (I made a necklace out of shoelaces, cucumbers and garlics and went as tzatziki due to lack of time). It took me forever to make since the machine I was using to sew the thing was awful.
We don't celebrate Halloween in Brazil at all.
I demand that you punch the calendar until you rectify this. That is a tragedy, sir.
:p Gotta mix it up sometimes, man! Okay, in that case, go with a royal, navy, or ultramarine shirt. Not quite as outrè as purple, but still a sophisticated look. Also remember to wear a lighter-coloured jacket in the spring and summer, and a darker/richer coloured one in the fall and winter.
I do not have anywhere near the funds to change clothes with the season. Between coats, hats, vests, and ties...it adds up. I have three hats, four coats, six vests, and four ties. Half of the coats and vests are black-associated, while the other half are brown-associated--and I do not cross those streams.
My tendency is to instead go sans jacket and hat in the summer. Starting in the fall, I'll throw the jackets and hats into the mix. Since my school year has been ending in early May, I don't bother changing before then--I just shed the coats when I head home.
I am aware that what I wear and when I wear it breaks several of the minutiae of fashion. I don't wear true dress shoes, instead wearing comfortable leather shoes. I wear the same colors regardless of the season. I wear a tuxedo jacket with pants from J. Crew. I'm slightly inconsistent as to whether my socks match the color of my shoes or the color of my pants.
At the same time, though, I'm not dressing like this to be fashionable. I dress this way because it feels comfortable to me and I like the look. I like the feel of button-up shirts. I feel naked without a vest. I feel vastly more comfortable in suspenders than in a belt. My friends have remarked that I look very casual in very dressy clothes. That is because, for me, these are casual clothes, and I wear them casually.
That's part of why I have this assumption about not wearing them in to a job interview. Most people wouldn't wear jeans an a t-shirt in to an interview, right? It feels the same to me. If I'm going into an interview, I'm going to carefully vet what I'm wearing. While I may end up wearing color combinations similar to what you suggested, I'll be dressing the part. I'll almost certainly be wearing nicer shoes and pants, and only would feel comfortable wearing a select few of my vests. I would probably swap the suspenders for a belt--even though wearing a belt with a vest is incorrect.
So, for me, dressing the way that feels comfortable will become something that only happens in my free time, rather than something that happens all the time. Again, the way that most people wear their casual clothes. I'm not saying that I'll be giving away the vests and burning the hats. I'm saying, instead, that it will be much less a part of my day-to-day life. And, unfortunately, most places I might work probably will insist that the mutton chops stay gone.
Of course, I don't know where I'm going to end up working. I'm an English major who's choosing his post-college location based on nearby people, not job prospects. While my ideal job would be one that lets me keep the clothes and the facial hair--and it is possible I may end up with such a position--I know that I cannot assume it will be the case. Thus, my resignation.
The "I'll never be able to wear it again after this year" excuse is also a handy one to throw at my family members, all of whom disapprove of my manner of dress. They find it weird and "inappropriate" for certain public venues. Pointing out that I only get to do it for another year gets me a grudging acceptance of my stylistic decisions.
Lord knows what I'm going to do when I have a kid. That's a major part of my life plan, but I know that wearing dry-clean only clothing around a toddler is just asking for trouble. I might have to start wearing jeans and a t-shirt for a few years there. Or just cover myself in a plastic sheath.
...think they sell those? Could be worth looking into.
Aaand, I think that's enough derailing the thread to talk about my threads. If we want to continue this one, let's move it to private messages. Unless we want to include real-life pictures in each post.

It's quite an excellent hat, considering I live in the tropics.
Might as well share a few of me.
These ones are old. Like MySpace still relevant old (which is actually the only place I had them until about five minutes ago). Note: Long hair, brutal beard; conclusion: totally still in high school and I was posturing how badass I was (too bad nobody bought it).

These two are more recent. The first one I was trying on white khaki pants at work and the other I was trying to get a picture of our dog and I together for some reason (also no flash). Note: Closely shaved head and a maintained beard; conclusion: I still have no idea who I am, but I only need to use body wash in the shower now instead of body wash, shampoo AND conditioner. Totally MinMax'd my showering.

PUPPY!!! Totally the most relevant part of this I mean what.
....Do I spy a fellow redhead? :flutter
Yes. Yes, you do. I'm more strawberry blond than a true redhead, but I count it because of my beard.
As for Pippin -- as in that trifling ass Hobbit -- he's far from a puppy. He still acts like it, though. It's really cute. He's a rat terrier and super active and always in and out of trouble. At least he doesn't eat power cords and cigarettes anymore. That was a very frustrating eight months of my life. He gets super excited whenever I come home and then immediately nuzzles up to my girlfriend and begins showing out by eating his food and waggling a whole bunch. He can be a grumpy little bastard though and makes things that are very simple (laying down on my bed) very complicated (because he'll decide that my face is a pillow). I love 'em though. Kristie did a good job when she picked him -- though, the way she tells the story, he picked her.
Hey, mine's more auburn unless I get a lot of sun, but we still both have the MCr1a mutation! :D
Your doggy sounds amaaaazing. :blush I want to snuggle him and scritch his ears! Power cords I understand - my cat does the same thing, and I have to admit, the rubber seems like the kind of texture a teething critter would dig - but cigarettes? Really? Eugh. Silly puppy.

Oh, and knocking things over, she's really good at that for such a graceful cat. Hence her name. Kata as in form/movement but also the onomatopoeic Japanese for clattering - katakata. (also, my girlfriend thinks she looks like Megata Tanetaro...)

Boz, we're still waiting for the Dresden costume pics!
You may have to wait a bit longer for those. The person who took pictures originally has flaked out on me and since I'm in Cardiff, I don't have the costume to snap a few pictures.
That said, have this instead. A friend commissioned the artist who does Calliope's artwork to draw a quick picture of the two of us.

So, I've been going to the gym pretty steadily for the last 18-19 months. I've gotten into the habit of taking progress photos of myself in the one-man changing room at my gym, since it's a full-length mirror. Most of these are shirtless or in a workout shirt, and not really meant for public sharing, but I've also been trying to get a few in my day-clothes to show to friends and family:

I'm pretty proud of my accomplishments, I've established myself as one of the bigger and stronger guys at the gym, and have been more social with the other serious lifters in the last few weeks. It's kinda weird, I've also been getting those 'looks' from the regular folks, the "whoah, look at the big dude" type looks. It's a bit of a boost to my ego. :D
As promised here are the pictures of me. The tattoo is a celtic letter T (the first letter of my first name), eventually I'll get it colored when I have money.
I have no explanation for the rest of them.

I just got linked to this thread again and happen to be on a netbook with a shitty webcam. So I guess I might as well.

Sure, I've got one kicking around.

It's a few weeks old and for some reason I'm not wearing my glasses, but hey.
My Kyudo group (the largest japanese archery organization in my country-also the only one) was invited to participate in this year's Iberanime (http://www.iberanime.com/pos_evento). Altough we were suposed to rotate between demonstrations and workshops, we ended up spending most of the day in a never-ending workshop where people in the event were lining up at our door to get taught Kyudo basics. And it was AWESOME!
As usual, I was the group's reporter with my digital camera. Here's some highlights:

Only a few brave ones dared to attempt the training still dressed in their cosplays.

The tall guy in Kyudo suit was the most veteran of our members present today, altough somewha grumpy he got pretty enthusiastic teaching the newcomers.

The guy in front is wearing actual Kendo armor, got interested in our stand after finishing his display on the main stage.

Our last group of the day, we let all of the last people waiting enter at once.

We had just four bows and a couple training slingshots tough, so we had to improvise.
Oh, okay -- I'll play this little game ...
That I'm aware of, there exists only 2 pictures on the entire internet of me (and no, I'll not be uploading any):

The hat has since been retired, and I've added a couple of inches to the goatee.
Pretty kitty. :)
Okay, some of you might remember looking at my old fuzzy tattoo here (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=5808.msg146034#msg146034). (Why yes, I am linking a post that is on the same page as this one, it just makes things easier.) It was/is six or seven years old and the ink was spreading in ways that I didn't like. There were a lot of reasons I never got it colored when it was new, mostly related to either money or the lack of a good tattoo artist.
Well I found a new tattoo artist and he fixed it up better than even he predicted when I was planning it out with him. It isn't completely finished but this took an hour and a half so both the artist and I were ready to call it quits for the day.

I finally finished adding color to my tattoo. I'm currently in the beginning stages of planning my next one. :D
(http://i369.photobucket.com/albums/oo133/egorarch/IMG_0057.jpg)
I just realized that the entire progression of my tattoo is in this thread. That pleases me.
Here's me as Sig Curtis from Fullmetal Alchemist during an anime meet at a coffee shop. I think I need to bulk up (already planned on it, mind) if that pose is going to be any kind of worthwhile.

The thread lives, it dies, it lives again!
Here's me a couple of years later (according to the last picture of my in this thread).
I have a beard now.

I had to hack into my photobucket account because it has been so long...
I'm going to necro my poor neglected thread once again even though at least half the pictures here no longer exist (apparently none of mine do, I shut down the Photobucket account when they required payment for proper linking).
