And looking over your character sheet, I'm wondering how you got such a powerful weapon for such a low price. +3 should cost 18000 gp, right?

A bit off topic but I would like to point out that Berserk very successfully pulled off the paradigm shift from heroic fantasy to high fantasy that people often bitch about happening in D&D around 7th level.  I think that many western players are just unfamiliar with such narrative developments and so they have trouble with self-justification of such a shift even though it is easily accomplished.

V, I suggest you take Residuum for a test-drive.  I'll be lenient about retconning if TheGeometer posts more material that suddenly becomes essential.

Alright, sounds good. I'll go about figuring out the build, then.

After looking residuum over more, I'm starting to lose a little enthusiasm for it. I like the concept, but it seems like it could get boring kind of quickly, and some feat/technique combos are far easier to abuse than others. I'll keep looking but it seems to have a narrower set of capabilities than upon initial inspection.

So, I believe that after re-reading the residuum material and going over some of the homebrew and other materials being used, I've come up with a pretty good idea to run with. I'll try to work on it some more after work and get you guys a build stub/sheet to pore over. :)

The feat would really help keep me alive longer, and I even have a planned way to build it into my character background.

If you say no, though, i'll just have to look into alternative options.
