Brilliant Gameologists Podcast / Re: Ready for the next episode

I'm also thinking of releasing a sort of solo-show about Burning Wheel. I went to Burning Apocalypse Con (alone) and have new revelations about the game. Anyone think that could be of interest?

By solo I mean no Josh or Zeke. It would be just my opinion.

I'd be interested in this. I still haven't played Burning Wheel, and I can't really tell by reading it if it's my cup of tea or not.

Off Topic Fun / Re: NaNoWriMo

I "only" got about 12,000 words done last year, and I can tell I'll be even busier this time. So I _might_ participate, but if I do, I'll probably just pick up where I left off last year. Shhh.

Legends of the Heroes / Re: The Fey

I played a couple of half-fey characters recently, and this is exactly how I played them. They were creatures of the present tense, always reacting to things with an "all-in" emotional response before anything like thought took place. Both were terrible at hiding their feelings.

But they were insatiably curious about humans - raised among the fey, they had no knowledge of mortal ways. Playing characters who were innocent and fairly naive was so much fun that I've found ways to keep doing it, even when they aren't fey-blooded.

Introduce Yourself / Darth Krzysztof Says Howdy from Texas
« on: November 06, 2011, 11:31:58 PM »
Howdy!

I'm Chris Nolen, also known as Darth Krzysztof (it's pronounced KRIS-stoff).

I live on a little farm just outside of San Antonio, Texas, many miles from Any Significant Gaming. So I've been roleplaying online for the last four years, trying to help make it a viable platform for folks who can't make it work at a table for whatever reason. I've mostly been playing D&D (3.5 and 4E), Pathfinder, and Star Wars Saga; my long-term goal is to develop an RPG that's tailor-made for online play. To that end, I've started listening to RPG podcasts, getting my hands on indie games, and looking at what would work at a virtual table and what wouldn't.

I love Fiasco with all my nerdy little heart.

I'm married, I'm fortysomething, and I love Rush, comic books, BioWare, Star Wars, writing, drawing, kitties, movies, and Electric Six.
