Cheesiest Character played/played with
« on: September 28, 2015, 08:24:23 PM »
So, my DM just had a rather shortlived campaign where we were supposed to create the most cheesy characters that we could muster. On the list was:
The ghost of a paladin, whose body is still in a necromancer's dungeon. He will only be put to rest by a direct conversation with Heironious telling him that he had spread enough valor and justice. He was also senile.

A saint template/vow of poverty/vow of nonviolence/vow of peace lesser aasimar monk who we dubbed the Southern Batman Buhhda, as he spoke with a thick southern drawl, never killed anyone, and propagated peace among unruly peasants.

And my character, a half minotaur(dragon mag 313 for large size)/half human barbarian/war hulk with permanency enlarge person and strongarm bracers, who wielded the trunk of a darkwood tree as a gargantuan greatclub. The aforementioned tree was ripped from the ground after brutalizing a cult of druids  :shakefist who worshiped the tree as a sacred entity.

What is the cheesiest character that you have played, or have had the distinct pleasure of playing with?

Cleric with the madness domain, who worshipped the PigDragonBat, a deity that doesn't exist. The actual god of madness believes he is also a cleric of the BatPigDragon, even though there is and never was a DragonBatPig, believing that the powers that come from him that he bestows upon believers come from the nonexistent BatDragonPig instead of himself.

2nd edition, Pygmy Midget Dwarf Berserker named Dingbat Womshlepper. (I just started cracking up thinking about him. :lol) He was something like 1'6", but he had a 25 strength, and wielded an intelligent greatsword that could shrink or expand at will.

Also in 2nd edition, my dad, one of my brothers, and I had 3 characters that we made for this one game - basically the Ghostbusters. Gnome Wizard / Cleric Artificer-types who had created Proton packs and such.

Eddie, the disembodied undead psion who had been "brainwashed" into possessing the Airship that the rest of the party lived in, basically becoming its AI (think Hal9000, but more malevolent).

And basically everything about that game...

Way back in AD&D days I ran a ranger and made a point of describing how he walked with gratuitous verbs. What it made it particularly absurd is that about a month into playing him, the video for "I Can't Dance" from Genesis came out.

During Living Greyhawk, I ran this fellow that most people found rather cheesy:

For players in my game, the worst team had to be two brothers who teamed up with a "psychotic" Halfling fighter named Redbelly, because he rubbed his stomach with the blood of his slain enemies, and a rogue modron with moose antlers and a crossbow attached to his top, the crossbow operated by trained squirrels. (Because moose and squirrels are of course natural allies.)

A Phrenic Draconic Half-fairy Tibbit Unholy Scion Hellfire Clawlock/Draconic Adept/Battledancer... AKA the Psychic Fairydragon Kitty of DOOM!!! Natural attacks out the wazoo, was very hard to hit, and such an unsuspecting and adorable kitty... Almost killed a dragon in a single round of attacks in the first session of the game... and diplomacied a Dracolich because combat lost it's appeal (especially after having to roast like 500 swarms with dragonfire just to get to the thing)
