a list of Feats and or 1 lvl (maybe a couple level) Classes that are their whole own thing?

an example would be Binding w. the Bind Vestige and Improved Binding Feats.

or Truenamer being a 1 level dip for the skill or Truename Training I guess...

Also progressing template like Phrenic.

You mean something like Trapfinding can be replaced by 1/30th of a caster's stuff?

Half-Fey 1 racial prog, replaces large piles of Enchantment Casters.
Half-Fey 2 continues the trend.

Ghost 1 racial prog, almost entirely replaces the Psion Uncarnate PrC.

Martial Monk 1 (and 2) cheese, replaces whole swaths of Fighter feat chains.
Dip 2 stacks of fighterish classes, accelerate Fighter feat progs.
Your codpiece is a mimic.

the half fey is spot on. (charm person at will, wtf)

hafta look up trapfinding 1/30th. unless you mean casters are better trap finders than trapfinders.

Ghost 1 (im not really 100% up to speed on savage progressions, but i think that trades all that horrible ghost LA for 1 level?) does pretty much replace a whole prc.

i think we have a dip handbook, that sorta mixes with the stuff im interested in. but, for example, Fighter 1/2/4 isn't really a complete mechanic or progression.

Martial Maneuvers can be had by feats.

Ring of Evasion or Shape Soulmeld instead of Rogue Levels

Bamboo Spirit Folk instead of Doodad for Trackless Step

That sort of thing?

Martial Maneuvers via feats is basically on point, the most of the mechanic is provided.

the other three seem more like 'dirty tricks' or a simple feature substitute. i guess substitution is whats going on overall, but Trackless Step seems different than like what Phrenic does.

As usual the answer is "it's in the metacompendium" but it's not labeled the way you would think. The purpose of climbing to higher abilities is generally to fulfill prerequisites. So search/find prereqs

Anything more advanced than what I have done doesn't exist. You're welcome to make a handbook though.

i expect a 'handbook' might be overkill. i'd be surprised if there are more than a dozen or so things to list.


iv been trying to find a better way to describe the content of interest.

like, feats, items, or templates that makes a commoner tier 5 or better.

If I understand the question right, a big answer would be UMD + scrolls/wands/staves.  1 rank and you can do the job of any spell caster.  Even if the first spell you cast is Guidance of the Avatar to get a +20 to your next UMD check.

-It gains a bunch of spell like abilities based on it's HD, as long as it has an intelligence or wisdom of at least 8 (once per day unless noted):
1-2     Charm Animal/Person 3/day (if base creature is an animal you get Animal, if a humanoid you get person)
3-4     Desecrate
5-6     Enervation, protection from good 3/day
7-8     Major image 3/day, poison 3/day
9-10   Dominate Animal/Person, baleful polymorph
11-12  Animate dead, true seeing 3/day
13-14  Unholy aura 3/day, unhallow
15-16  Harm
17-18  Gate (only to the home plane of the fiend that made it, unless created through taint then it gets the Abyss)
19-20  Polymorph any object

-Retains all SQ of the base creature and adds:
-DR 5/good or magic (11- HD), or DR 10/good or magic (12+ HD) ...basically useless around level 5 or 6
-Darkvision 60 ft
-Fast Healing 4
-Immunity to poison and mind-affecting spells and abilities
-Resist cold, fire, acid, electricity 5
-SR equal to HD + 10 (max 35)
-For any racial HD, it gain skill points as an outsider (8 + int Mod) x (HD+3)

the List of Stuff is amazing, but not useful in this area exactly.

Planar Touchstone is nice feat, but also not very comparable.
