The shot goes wide, missing the bugbear.

Nami and Gindar have an 8 initiative.

Nalbin proceeds to use Dolard to make another attack, this time an upward slash while taking a forward 5 foot step.

I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri rock! I need scissors! 61!

Gindar blocked the attack with the metal haft of his glaive. Ignoring the bleeding wound on her shoulder, Nami drew her slender blade, cautiously stepped forward, and struck at the hobgoblin.

Gindar could not help but glance down at the marbles as they rolled harmlessly past his feet.

"A bad time for toys, is it not?" he chuckled.

Alth sighed as the marbles missed their intended area and let fly another arrow...  And missed yet again.

The dwarf makes another attack against the Bugbear, a horizontal slash with Dolard.

The bugbear staggered as the blade cut across his chest. He held one hand up and lowered his glaive with the other.

"I have no interest in dying for the humans," Gindar growled. "Allow me to live and the humans are yours."

Alth took a moment to catch his breath as the bugbear surrendered.  "That is acceptable, but I do have a few questions for you.  What are the humans doing here?  Can you give us any information on their organization or what the layout of the caverns are?"

Nalbin nodded his head respectfully to the bugbear, taking a 5 foot step back but still keeping Dolard trained on the bugbear in-case it was needed.

"Yeh are a skilled warrior and yeh fight well. Any information yeh could provide on th' huamns would be greatly appreciated"

Gindar nodded slowly as he listened to the questions. He grumbled incoherently for a brief moment as he formulated answers as best he could.

"The humans are searching for something. I know not what it is, but my chief instructed me to act as their guard until such time as I could kill them myself," the bugbear answered. "Perhaps they have grown suspicious of me, for they bade me to guard the tunnel entrance instead of accompany them. I know nothing of the layout of these caverns or what dwells within them, but the humans numbered a half dozen when they entered. Have you more questions?"

"I have three more.  Is there another way out of here besides scaling the cliff?  Is there a safe place close by to hide or rest for the night?  And are they expecting anyone to stop by?"

Gindar shook his head. "If there is another way down here, I do not know of it. I have seen little else in this area. I would presume it safe enough to rest until Meera's pet spider returns from hunting. As for your last question, yes, the humans are expecting a visitor in three days time."

Nami sat down on a nearby rock, looking wane from blood loss.

"We killed a spider about the size of a horse on the way down.  Is that the pet you're speaking of?"

Alth smiled in response to Uube's statement.  "I admit, kicking it off the cliff worked quite well.  Shame it took a chunk of you with it."

Gindar chuckled a deep raspy laugh. "Adventurers are an eccentric bunch."

Nami looked toward Alth tiredly as she spoke. "Should I set up camp?"
