Squeaks cheerfully squeaks back at the Skull Kid; is this the same one that helped them earlier? It couldn't tell. "Friends good idea! Need to make Fadoor help stop moon! Does it know anything to..........to convince! Boss Skeleton needs convince too! Can't speak Fadoor until Skeleton calls me---US Hero..."

Boss skeleton from Fadore... Oh, you mean the forgotten stalfos? I knew him! I got this spiffy mask with his help long ago. So he wants a proof that you're heroes. I may have something...

The skull kid rummages through his pockets and pulls out something shiny hanging from a string:

Found it lost in the forest. Never saw another like this one. As a token of our new friendship, I'm willing to trade it with you for something special you have.

"Ohhh, pretty!  I've got these special clothes, but they were a present.  How about some shiny rocks? (rupees)  Or maybe these bombs?  They're pretty cool."

Maybe we should ask what it wants? Gompa whispers he's not particularly trusting of this stranger who lives in these dangerous woods.

It ponders for a few moments on what they could trade for the item; Jeremy's suggestions not sounding bad at all. It exactly have anything much to offer....

"Not much to its name to trade except for I weapons or Ally's items....Oh! Could maybe give crystal?" Squeaks reaches around to one of its miniature crossbows and plucks a crystal out from its stock, holding it out for the Skull Kid.

The Skull Kid first seems interested in Jeremy's clothes.

Rupees too common. Bombs too. Also noisy. Those green garbs like the legends! I'm sure the forgotten stalfos would be quite pleased in seeing someone wearing those! And they do look right about my size...

But when Squeaks shows his crystal something glows brightly behind the Skull Kid's mask eye holes.

Warmth-sucking gem! Sometimes the forest becomes very cold. Yes, I'll trade mine for yours, friend!

The skull kid extends both hands to the deku, one holding the Hero's Crest, the other an open palm waiting in expectation.

The deku reaches forward and places it's crystal in the Skull Kid's hand whilst taking the offered Crest. "Thanks friend! Only three more arteefacts!" it gleefully exclaims as it squeaks and hops about in joy.

Good luck then friends!

The skull kid then walks inside the trees playing a merry tune and disappears again, his music soon fading too.

(where do you go next?)

Pha was glad that had all gone smoothly. The skull kid was a swell guy. She was sad to see him go and hoped the forest was still safe for him.

Quote
"Thanks friend! Only three more arteefacts!"
"Ah, yes. About that..." She began, hesitantly.
"I think I found one on the shore though it was guarded by a very dangerous weapon-monster-thing and it would probably be best to forget about it for now. It might be a good idea to deal with it later when we're ready since it might harm the villagers."

Thinking about it, her old obsession resurfaced.
"There was that hole in the ground we saw before, though! Not far from here." She nudges, innocently.

Squeaks doesn't seem the least bit sad about missing out on the very dangerous one Pha mentioned and instead nodded in agreement about the hole. "Hole, yes yes. Lead to then!"

You move without opposition since most of local wildlife seems to be hiding from the storm. The trees seem to be singing under the strong winds. However when you reach the crossroad where there was a path previously blocked by a large cracked boulder, you see to your surprise that something or somebody else already blew it up! Behind there's a large dark hole, and something shining appears to be inside...

Remembering how it went the last time she saw something shiny in the depths, alarms went loud in her head. She whispered to the others.
"Could be dangerous! I can maybe lift it here with a pillar of ice and everyone gets ready to attack it if it is a monster?"

Squeaks and Pha clearly hear six beings moving and whispering inside, Gompa can feel the presence of just two nearby (), and Jeremy both hears and sees the ones lurking inside.
