Lists of Mundane Items
« on: November 16, 2011, 11:43:30 AM »
I'm thinking of writing a program that will generate treasure for me. I know there are some out there that already do this, such as DonJon's treasure generator. My goal is to aggregate as much information as I can find in the standard books and magazines and make a generator that is customizable. As an example, generate treasure that is specific to pick pocketing (as an example, you wouldn't find a bookshelf or barrel in someone's pocket) or in an under-water setting.

The old crystalkeep pdfs are my starting point. What I'm lacking in info is a list with Mundane Items. The DMG has a good list, and so does Pathfinder, but I also found that there are smaller lists scattered around other books, like Tome and Blood. Would anyone here know which books/magazines contain lists like this?

I don't have a definitive list, but the first places I'd check would be the Complete X books, Races of X books, and probably the environment-based books.

Dungeonscape and Complete Scoundrel in particular.
