I present to you the LaTeX 3.5e template!
« on: January 04, 2015, 07:41:11 AM »
It's not yet complete (I'm missing stuff like tables), but the layout is pretty accurate.

The wizard spells are the 5th edition ones.

Hah.  Niice.  Except all that Latin wtf, my Grampa knew all that (the latin that is).

I suppose you've just christened the proper name of 5e -> 3e conversions.

That latin is this -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorem_ipsum
It's generally used as placeholder text in order to demonstrate the layout in typography.

I've used that, because you can just issue a \lipsum command and all that text is automatically generated, which is awesome :p

Are you going to share the .tex (and relevant files such as the background images or the font) when you're done?
That would be terrific.

Anyways, well done.

Of course I will! The only thing I'm hesitant about is the fact that the fonts and images are not free.

LaTeX is short for Lamport TeX (Lamport's the guy who created it).

Why is this template called LaTeX?

It's a document markup language. It's used quite a bit in academics, to my understanding. Very useful for writing documents that have mathematical equations.

You can use it to create beautiful documents, but it's a little obtuse (for me at least, sadly).

I'm planning to create a 'player's handbook' pdf that will contain the rebalancing compendium changes:

As this is quite old, please share more recent attempts; I will personally search when I get back from work.

I just might look into this, assuming it's relatively easy to translate LaTeX to SQL >.>

I concur, and being a WordPress developer, can almost guarantee that was the driving motivation behind it  :D
