Technically Repair droid is this,

You can spend 1 hour and make a
DC 20 Mechanics check to repair a damaged or disabled droid, restoring
hit points equal to the droid's character level and removing any persistent
conditions currently affecting the droid. A droid can attempt to repair itself,
but it takes a -5 penalty on its sk ill check.

While the altered Jury Rig is this,

You can make temporary repairs to any disabled mechanical
or electronic device, from a simple tool to a complex starship component.
Jury-rigging is a full-round action and requires a successful DC 25 check.
A jury-rigged device or vehicle gains +2 steps on the condition track and 1d8 hit points.
At the end of the scene or encounter, the jury-rigged device moves -5 steps along the track and
becomes disabled again.

Since this wasn't a very good option either. I figured we'd make a rule up for the occasion.  :cool

In case you didn't notice, that is my way of handing out darkside point(s)  :).

I like to put a personal spin on it. Since Kel is Dashade, I figured I would play up his ancestry. Yes I have a Khem Val companion and I love his desire to consume everyone  :lmao

Though I've stopped playing, I did quite enjoy having Khem around. :D

Meanwhile, any news from your other group, RE: Number of players?

Not yet, I haven't. One is moving back to Japan and he is very busy atm. Another has a normal day job and teaches part time so is also very busy. I talked to the third player and he is down for whatever. They are all pretty easy going about stuff so I dont think they would have any issues with all 3, but just want them to weigh in first.

Here is the Player Handout if you want to have a look and pass a bit of time.

I have been plying SWTOR since it came out in December. My wife plays it too when she is up for a bit of gaming. One of my friends in my other PbP game plays and one of my co-workers plays as well. The game is in some bad need of server consolidation before more people leave. I just love Star Wars though so I will stay with it for a long while. In the meantime most of the game's North American population seems to have migrated to one PvP server and re-rolled.

I've been looking quite a bit into SW:TOR recently. Is it any good as a game?
On the one hand I've got a couple of buddies who play and they rant all day about how awesome it is and that I should try it, but they're not 50, and I've read quite a few accounts of ppl complaining there isn't much to do once you hit 50.

IIt's pretty fun. I only stopped playing because I ran out of time in my day with work and everything else going on. The lack of stuff to do at 50 isn't any different than any other Emo, though. Of course the "new stuff to do" is drastically reduced at that point, it's the endgame. Either Pvp, or roll up another character.

Yeah it depends on what flavor of MMO's you enjoy. McP is right just about every MMO loses speed at max level and you have only a few choices. If your on an RP server you can also participate in RP. You can PvP. You can also join a raid type guild and go after the operations. You can also re-roll another character which the story's of each are pretty good that it's worth it.

It makes a world of difference if you have plenty of people to play with. Having a few that I know playing with me makes it way more fun.

As for more higher content, there's always expansions.  :D

What you do once you hit 50 is you start a new character, since every class has a unique storyline. *shrug* :D

My time with sw:tor has been short and disappointing.
Friend sent me first invite, it never arrived, but it wouldn't let me resend because he had already invited that address. He then sent me a 2nd invite on another address. Got this one and made an acc that is impossible to log in to. No matter what I change the password to, I still get a 'login failed' message.

EDIT: problem has been solved, but it was still retarded. ea.com and swtor.com share passwords, ea.com has a 16 char limit for passwords, so mine got truncated to 16 chars in the database.

Should have seen what happened on release week when the authentication servers hadn't been properly merged for it yet.

The 3 of you can go ahead with making your characters for the Scales of War game, send me a PM with the finished product.

This week or so has been super busy and I haven't had a lot of time to updates. Going to do some updating tonight on both threads here and my other game to get things moving along.
