chain dispel

How to protect yourself against chain dispel? Unlike greater dispel magic, it is too high level to be put in a dispelling ring. It is also MR-no, so spell immunity doesn't protect from it. Making sure to spread out might prevent it from wrecking the whole party, but beyond that, how can one protect against it?

Greater Dispel Magic.......So it's not a free autodispel because different spells, but Chain is 8th level, which means you're atleast running a comparable caster level to have a totally fair chance to counter it. Or better if you have CL boosters.

I think the standard solution is a Spellblade
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

Basically, just bumping caster level.  Alternatively, a Rod of Absorption.

Pretty much this.

For example, @lv30 it's 1d20+25 vs DC 41 for a 20% chance of success. Thanks to Dispel-type Spells having a CL limitation they have a very limited level opportunity where they are useful. It's also the main reason Disjunction is so powerful, your items going poof on a failed save is actually less harmful than failing a Save against certain death, by being Save-based it has no limitation and inherently it has a higher success rate.
