Blisss settles down into the pond of rainwater. It seems to have grown much larger around him, leaving him mostly submerged.

I can see in the dark, so I could watch after Fwisp, on third watch when the fire has burned down and it’s really, really dark.

Fwisp, just let me know when you… I mean, you me know let when should watch I. No, that’s not it. Me you know when let I…

I think you have the idea. I hope.
Blisss trails off.

I will take first watch with Illurien.  I can see in the dark easily enough.  Unless anyone objects, I suggest we bank the fire for the night.

I do not mind we bank the fire. I do not see much in the darkest night, but if there is some moon and stars tonight, I can do some watch.

At the moment, it seems like the watch order is:

1st Watch: Illurien, Adhuil
2nd Watch: Illurien, Fwisp
3rd Watch: Illurien, Bliss

If anyone else specifically wants to take a watch, or help with a watch, they're welcome to jump in.  And it looks like we'll be banking the fire for the night.  All 4 people on watch have Darkvision, so that won't be a problem.

The large blond man begins snoring heavily. His spiked curaiss and heavy gauntlets lie to the side along with his enormous spiked hammer, but he still wears a chain shirt under his thick blanket.

Blisss pokes his head up instantly at the noise, looking toward the point of origin. Then he realizes it's just Loptr's deep, resonant snoring.

Blisss listens intently for a little while, and then with a satisfied nod, settles back into the water.

Shortly, an approximation of snoring noises come from the pond, but besides being tentative, and much softer and higher pitched than Loptr's big size can produce, they are mixed in with gentle gurgling and bubbling since Blisss is mostly below the water line.

The attempt is almost comical. They sound more like rivulets of water running softly through a tiny rapids.

Loptr mumbles "Yes Mistress, right away Mistress" in his sleep, and rolls over and puts his arm around Ádhúil and pulls him in close to snuggle him.

 :lol

Ádhúil shifts a little bit - to uncover his mouth and nose - but then settles right back down, fast asleep.

Responding directly, Illurien says <<Yes, there in the distance, some krenshar. However, they are not approaching, nor are they acting against us. If we do not present a threat I believe we should be just fine.>>

Morning:
The krenshar have retreated toward the town center during the night, and are now out of sight. It's lighter this morning, but the weather hasn't improved.

Illurien floats around awaiting the awakening of the others. Once they are all up, she speaks telepathically, <<Good morning. You will be glad to know that I did not intrude into your minds to watch your dreams while you slept. Much. As for the evening's watch, you ought to know that there was a group of krenshar prowling around during the night, though they seem to have wandered out of sight.>>

While floating past Loptr, she nods, gives a brief salute, and says to him, <<Captain.>>

Loptr looks confused and says "Captain? What did I do to earn such a title?"

Fwisp yawns, his odd face twisting even more strangely, and smiles at everyone.

Mystery rises quickly, going out of sight for a moment to change and is soon prepared for the day, heavy linen robes flame red in colour with an angry crimson demon mask today.

Ádhúil stretches, and then rubs his face vigorously to get out the impressions left by Loptr's arm.  Well, I was certainly warm enough during the night, but if this is the way my face is going to feel, I think I'll sleep a little further away from you from now on, Ádhúil says to Loptr with a grin.  He then walks a little away from the group and calls Artur (his hawk) over.  He pulls out a small snack from his bag and feeds it to Artur, and then spends a few minutes petting him.

So, what shall we do today?

Loptr blushes and says "Sorry little friend. I meant no harm. I do roll and tumble and talk in my sleep I've been told, though."

With the activity in the camp, Blisss splashes up from the surface of the rainwater pond where he was mostly submerged. He wades out, shakes himself, and is completely dry. He is also completely flustered.

I… I’m so sorry… I missed my chance to watch… I was going to watch after Fwisp, but I guess I didn’t say it right to him so...

Fwisp, I’m… I mean, you I didn’t… clear make it to wake me when. Ugh. That doesn’t sound right at all. Learn your tongue must I. ……….OOOh! That sounded better!

It’s very pretty here in daylight! The damp smells sweet. I’m hungry.

The dappled colors of the watery sunlight filtering through the wet leaves settle onto Blisss’ clothes and suddenly stay in place there, as he bends down to the pond and takes a very, very long drink. He comes back up licking a drop of rainwater from the tip of his nose, sighing in satisfaction.

Loptr! You really didn’t talk much, but your snoring was… magnificent!!! I tried to do it too but I don’t think I sounded as good as you. Maybe if I was bigger.

So… if we’re going to travel together, I like to take good care of my friends, and especially the big ones with the big swords and axes and spears… because other people we meet, bad ones who want to fight or hurt us, go right for the biggest one of my friends they can see. So, if you like, I can help you, my other friends say it feels like a kind of tingle but it’s just a tickle really. Some last a long time and others, I just have to come over and hold your hand for a little bit, every 5 minutes or so, or it stops tingling. It helps you not to get hurt if they try to hit you. And some tickles are for everybody standing near enough... or flying, Fwisp, welcome you too are, near to be. Oh! That was right, wasn’t it!!

Like that tree over there, it’s near enough. And Ádhúil, Mystery, Illurien, pretty much all of you, you’re all more than close enough to get the tickle for everybody, if you want it.

Blisss points at a tree about 20 feet away from him as he goes over to the huge man. The dappled colors on Blisss’ clothes make his edges indistinct and harder to see, moving gently across the glade under the trees like a passing cloud in a wash of dim light. Smiling, Blisss cranes his neck to look up at Loptr, and stretches out his hand, coming to tiptoes and reaching up for Loptr to touch fingers.
