[Discussion]Ultimate Forces Discussion Thread
« on: July 24, 2012, 09:01:00 PM »
Because other teams have one and I'm going to hop on that bandwagon as hard as possible. Also so SirP has easy to sort titles in his subforum.  :p

Onto PC discussion

So yeah it's an easy enough ritual to do, you think I should found a legacy instead of picking up a stat booster? I'd probably bling out my bow. Justification: it's a weapon an angel wielded, what more do you WANT!?

Also any specific suggestions/requests?

A couple quick things -- Chrono, can you take the Code tags out of your sheet?  Makes it nearly impossible to read.

Phae, I still can't access that charsheet, but I dunno if it matters if you're going to rebuild her.

I went ahead and made a new character - with the lavish use of homebrew and splat books I've seen so far, I figured Incarnate Construct wouldn't be over the top.  :flutter

I went for a mobile tank/melee DPR. He suffers from all of the gimps of a melee character, but that's okay. He goes for the throat and has the phat stats to toy with the big boys.

Try this one now. I've already started rebuilding her, based on the changes to the prereqs for IotSV that Garryl said he's going to make.

Change the link in the other thread, as well, when you get a chance. Just to avoid confusion. Also, should we strategermize? I'm trying to get a hold on what we're playing:

Muktidata - Flying Pure Tank/DPR
Chrononaut - Flying Gish
phaedrusxy - I can't really tell

It's actually the same link. I just made it public. :P My character will basically be a bard/debuffer/glass cannon/face, but I can change vestiges for some versatility when needed. If this kind of character isn't really needed for the team, I might shelve this one for later.

I'm spec'd spellwise right now as a buffer/ranged attack coordinator so we should get along fine in covering missing functions if you're debuffing, and I can tag team face with you.

And no concept wise my character is in short representing a consortium of interested good aligned celestials and gods in trying to increase their foothold in the Imperium, so she has zero objections to vestiges as long as you're not actively out comitting evil.

Heck you're basically made of song, so you're like an honorary Lillend (which is made of art in general). :P

What's your affiliation gonna be Phae?

It could be any of: Sisters of Silence (no speaking, but music is OK :P ), Brotherhood of Redemtion, or maybe even the Red Lotus.

Well... I'm very tempted to try and pick up Dragonfire Inspiration, but the easiest way to do this would be to change my character's race from okilei to silverbrow human. Mechanically, this is definitely more sound, but thematically I find it very disappointing... The alternative is to burn another feat on Dragontouched... which with the loss of the racial bonus feat from silverbrow human, will be like losing two feats for the flavor of the okilei race...   :bigeyes

Edit: Hey SirP, any problem with having a Crystal Echo Blade that's a rapier instead of a longsword? (I have no idea why it wasn't a rapier to start out with... since bards aren't proficient with longswords...)

I'd message SirP on the question. He's very prompt on replying, but it probably takes him a bit to sift through the individual posts here. Well, my character is an ubercharger with five attacks, so the dragonfire dice will ensure death if I can get to the opponent. But do what you want. I spent two feats for 5AC.  :tongue I'm going with the Brotherhood. I'll write it into my story later.

Not at all.  I dunno if this is still relevant, what with the Wardancer development...

oh you've got a wand of nerveskitter. I was wondering why the +7 without an eager weapon OR improved init. ;P

I'll buy a few charges of a wand of Vigor and a wand of Sign. Lol I think phae's the only character who has to eat or sleep. ALWAYS ADVENTURE ALL THE TIME.

I definitely want to pick up the Divine Muse discipline, which has a 3rd level stance that gives you bardic music as a bard of your IL. So yeah, it's still relevant. :D

Chrononaut's character doesn't need to sleep? What's his final creature type?

I'm changing my character again... I'm now a Silverbrow Human Wardancer/Wyrm Warrior multiclass (probably 5/1 starting out). The function will still be the same, but without the binding. Rebuilt character sheet will follow later tonight. I'll eventually add Dragonfire Inspiration, but probably won't be able to get it starting out.

Aww, it's so... special in a game like this. Instant nuking down a character is crucial and I highly doubt Rrektor will get taken down the turn he busts into the enemy lines.
