Was there an item enchantment similar to "Defending (DMG, p224)" where you could convert the enhancement bonuses to your saves?

Gaming Advice / Antimagic Field and spells

As I understand it, an Antimagic Field suppresses spells, but not the ability to cast spells. If I am right in my assessment, then some examples should work like this:
  • Me and my team stand inside an Amf, I cast haste and as soon as we leave the field, haste takes effect.
  • I stand in the field and cast Fireball outside the Amf, the "pea" that normally comes from the fingers comes into existance outside the field and detonates at the point I desired.
  • Me and my opponent are in the field, I cast Orb of Force on him and he suffers damage.
  • A creature inside the amf with Orb of Force as an Su or Sp ability can't cast it, because all Su and Sp abilities are suppressed. But he could cast it from the outside into the field.
Am I correct here, or is there something wrong?

1. So, is that an autodetect for everything that's not invisible or doesn't have cover within 60 ft?
2. What if a creature outside of the range of my darkvision is hiding, then running in to attack me. Am I flatfooted?
3. Would a creature need cover all the way from the square it is hiding, to my square to get me flatfooted?
4. Let's say another creature has Hide in Plain Sight (the one from the Shadowdancer), could he hide?

Gaming Advice / Lesser Holy Transformation and the like

1) If I cast Lesser Holy Transformation and then Lesser Infernal Transformation, could I still fly and have the bateezu subtype?

2) Same with Lesser Holy Transformation and then Draconic Polymorph into an Arrow Demon, can I fly and handle 2 bows at once?

Gaming Advice / Immunity to transmutation

Hi there,

our group has the problem, that our equipment slowly changes into "fire equipment" and burns the other stuff which hasn't changed. I am a level 5 cleric, and we have a level 5 wizard with us. Is there anything which can protect our gear from transmutation effects, or is there maybe a "bag" which is immune to transmutation effects where we can put our stuff into?

Gaming Advice / Elvencraft Bow

The Elvencraft modification from Races of the Wild (p. 166) allows the bow, to threaten all squares around you. In "The Archery Handbook" it is mentioned, that you can therefore prevent taking AoOs from firing the bow when threatened.
However the only rule I could find was, that firing a bow when someone threatens you, just provokes an AoO. No other cause is given.
So is this just a make-believe?

1. Is there any way to reliably make the int check up to greater deities, without raising intelligence to 40?
2. Can you avoid the int/cha decrease and the disability to cast arcane spells somehow if you should fail?
3. Is it possible to make the answers more certain?

As CoP is seen as one of those "cheats" for wizards, there must be a way around those problems which I am not aware of, I figured.

If a dragonfire adept uses power surge (feat from Dragon Magazine 313, page 57), can he breath next round, since his original breath uses a standard action and power surge states, that you must wait 1 round till the next attack?

Board Business / Ask a Question Subboard

Wouldn't it be better if every system (4th, 3.5ed, Pathfinder) had its own subboard of "Ask a Question"?
If we have to tag every topic with [3.5] or something similar, it gets very unclear and difficult to search for the right answer.

I am a mathematician and I do play RPG's for about 10 years now. According to tvtropes I would consider myself a lawful good rules lawyer, which I find just comes naturally with my field of study.
The old boards really helped me getting into D&D, too bad they're down. Lets hope these here prosper anew.
