I take it that it would be a bad thing to move unsafely and start collapsing things?

I doubt you would suffer unduly from the repercussions, but I doubt you are looking for a dungeon crawl as your first activity fresh from containment, and a collapsing underground facility full of monsters would definitely count.

Could I use knowledge engineering to detect the safety of the building?

It is listed as knowledge architecture and engineering in the PHB according to dndtools, but I don't have my book in front of me to check.  If so, I'll speed up to 20ft/rnd, and note any interesting corpses to gene devour as a fullround action on the way to where Slake supposes the records are.

Architecture and Engineering was the skill in 3.5, Engineering is the skill in PF.

I just used by base untrained with no max DC knowledge roll.

Since my minimum Acrobatics skills check is 17, do I need to bother rolling in order to move half speed? I'll do so once, but I'm assuming not.

Damnit, I made the same mistake with balance vs acrobatics in the first draft.

I assume that Step of the Wind stance means that I move completely unhindered?

I plan on staying away from "lolrandom" CN tendencies, but Razor still gets bored easily.  ;)

Nyte,  Is it possible to recover/confirm the destruction of the records of the facility? I don't mean to sidetrack the group too much.  The information is important to Sal for it's own sake, for intelligence on the scions, for intelligence on escaped SPCs, and to make it harder for the scions to ID and track the party.

The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy's not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable.

Extremely unlikely given the time constraints and difficulty navigating anything more than the current level. From what you know of the Scions, the records were either:

  • Low Priority, meaning they probably didn't survive (Testing logs for Safe-class SCPs and general paperwork such as the facility's roster and inventory)
  • Medium Priority, meaning they had backups at other sites (Testing logs and experimental containment procedures for Euclid-class SCPs, as well as the most recent records of when people received amnestics or terminations)
  • High Priority, meaning they are in a black box somewhere at the bottom of the site (All documentation for Keter-class SCPs, as well as the identity and location of Scions undercover in the world)
  • Critical Priority, meaning they likely didn't exist in document form and are probably tied to some administrator-level hivemind bullshit. (Conspiracy?)

I wanted to do administrator level hivemind bullshit but it was too problematic.  :lol

Had to sneak in a single brand reference before the SCPs get to be a more serious thing.  :p

Even so, Razor has no idea what any of that means. Deadly Dancers don't have geographers or cartographers.  :P

With no real party leader to speak of, I'm unclear how y'all want to handle decision making in the party. Getting a consensus on anything in a PbP can take a week at a time. If there are party members who are easygoing enough to go with whatever the de-facto leader wants to do, then make that known alongside your character sheet so we know not to wait on you at decision crossroads.

It seems like consensus is heading to Sharn.
