The Pokemon receives a fire bath and doesn't come out whole.  The poor thing collapses in a charred mess.

"Darn...  You were too Weak Death Charger..."

"It doesn't matter, Go!  Skull Crusher!"

He sends out another vaguely wormy looking thing, this one has a different colored body and seems to be wearing a leaf on its head.

Your pokedex chimes to life

"Weedle, poison worm pokemon.  This pokemon is dangerous, if only because of the large venom producing spine on its head.  Use fire to take care of it quickly."

The Pokemon is roasted.  Well done.
[Victini and Shroomish receive another 30 EXP each]

The boy returns his pokemon and Begins running back towards town.

"You've made a powerful enemy today!  I won't forget you, so you better not forget Samson Clide!!!"

He Stops just long enough to turn and stick his tongue out.  "And I had my fingers crossed when I made the promise, Like I'd ever stop trying to make my pokemon stronger."  He runs away at a quick speed for a little kid, but he seems to have dropped something, an envelope.

Your pokedex chimes.

Sewaddle:  Leafcutter pokemon.  This pokemon always has a portable umbrella which doubles as a food source if it ever becomes hungry.  Bug/Grass pokemon, Fire will rock it's worldview.

As soon as Samson is out of earshot, I let out my breath and sit down heavily.  Battling is stressful.

Victini floats down next to me and cocks a head, then settles on my shoulder.  I reach over towards Shroomish and pick her up.

"How are you doing, Shroomish?"  I stroke her soothingly.  She seems fine, but pretty worn out.  I should probably get moving.

Standing up, I wave my beret at Victini.  It playfully jumps backwards, away from the danger of the flapping hat.

Rustle

"Oh?" I inquire.  Victini picks up an envelope and flies towards me.  Dropping the parcel into my arms, it settles back down onto my head and pulls the beret over itself like a blanket.

Sliding the envelope into my tote bag for later perusal, I head towards the Pokémon Center.

As the Pokémon Center comes into view, Victini pulls its head under the beret.

Nervously, I walk inside.  I'm still close enough to home that someone he knows might see me.

It seems as though you had little to worry about, the pokemon center is empty save for a young woman in the standard "Joy" Uniform.  There is a catchy tune playing on the intercom, it doesn't make very much sense though, but it is fast paced and upbeat.

I nervously go up to the counter and place Shroomish in front of her.  "C-could you please heal her?"  Before she has time to respond, I remember Drifloon.  "Oh!  Hold on."  I pull out his Pokéball and put it down next to Shroomish.  "Him, too.  I-if it's not too much trouble."
