Final Fantasy Four Job Fiesta: My Livestream Progress
« on: June 16, 2016, 10:14:54 PM »
So I decided to join the festivities on the 13th, only to encounter a horrid series of technical failures and crashes. This made streaming impossible, so I dedicated the next day or two to further tests.

Hopefully, things seem to be working fine right now, which means you can expect regular episodes from now on until September 1st!

My Twitch Channel.

List of Episodes:

#1: Beginning-Wind Crystal (No Commentary) When I initially began, I was plagued with a series of crashes, 5 to be exact. After some tests, I decided to use the Steam version, and realized that during a debug test that the game was playing just fine. As this was during a thunderstorm, I didn't have commentary on. Expect commentary in the rest of the videos.

#2: Ship Graveyard to North Mountain Surprisingly we're not sucking too bad with an all-Thief party. Our first boss fight with them went well, but our trials at North Mountain were not so lucky.

#3: North Mountain to Fire Crystal. Two Jobs in one episode! One which is not so bad (Red Mage), one which just plain sucks (Geomancer).

#4: Airship Time: We find the last Temple, but our progress is stymied by a difficult boss, Soul Cannon.

#5: Earth Crystal and Galuf's Homeland: In which we get our fourth and final Job, the Chemist, probably the best choice for Earth Crystal.

#6: Moogle Fun, Dragon Zombies, & Naval Warfare: In which we save the life of a moogle, a wind drake, and try a second assault on Ex-Death's domain.

Ahh FFV, the first game with Blue Mages. You should consider running at least one of the characters as one in honor of that. The Spells have a learning curve but they can be pretty OP. Like a self targeted Vampire acts like a Curaga (that's 93% off the mp cost).

Jobs are randomly determined, so you have to make do with what you're given. Although there's options to "buy" a new class at the Job Fair.

I got saddled with Thief as my Wind Crystal Job, so I'm sticking with that.

Unfortunately Tule sells no weapons said class can equip, so half my party's unarmed. Can't wait for Karl Boss and Siren! :/

Anyway, next stream will be later today at 6 PM EST. Or, 30 minutes since I made this post.

Water and Fire Crystal Wrap Up.

Thief, Red Mage, and...Geomancer. Looks like my luck ran out.

lol zerkers, it's been forever since I've played FFV, I can't recall what classes I favored originally, nor recall much of a clue of how a random assignment would fare.

It's probably terrible unless you have an unhealthy addiction to the game, and like everything else if you do something most people dislike you can ask people for money. And that's exactly what they are doing sooo I guess it works out?

Apologies, but it seems that Twitch streams all have limited lifespans. The only real alternative is to upload said streams into breakable chunks onto YouTube, but the last several times I tried it ended in failure (this is not uncommon among Twitchers).
