Correct, sorry I forgot to mention that for your character (everybody going for the feat? Damn, gotta better plan multi-choice rewards next time :P)

Good luck offering a better reward then a Feat (without regretting it later). As long as you're using a 3.5 architecture, any non-fighter build is going to jump at the chance for a feat. Hell, even the fighter might jump at a feat.

Unless someone builds the Tomb Fighter, or whatever it is, who gets a bonus feat every time they take a feat.

Rabbit touched the red orb, and then felt something burning within him. He came to realize a little too late that touching that orb may have been what the Galactic Federation classifies as a colossal mistake. It started as an itching, which moved on to a burning sensation, then what actually felt like he was burning up. Then the pain hit.

He tried to stand brave in the face of the moment, feeling that he and his new friends had won this day. He looked up at Fadore, and was about to say something witty, but was thankful more than ever that the helmet would hide his expression of pain. He fell to a knee, possibly pandering to her ego for a moment, before the scream started. It was second only to one recorded scream of ultimate suffering, though the Hero's Shade rendered him unconscious before he could truly suffer as that man in black once did. Rabbit's expression of his pain lasted only a second before the flat of the Shade's blade found him, and relieved him.

In unconsciousness, Rabbit found peace.

As it seems that MaI is being phased out for PoC, and PoC has a few topics devoted to PoC: Metroid, it may be better in the long run to make the conversion to PoC.

The next time Rabbit gains a level, I'll sit and do a full conversion from MaI to PoC. Since the closest parallel to Pirate Warrior on the PoC: Metroid list would be a Cyberneticist, I'll rebuild as that. No point in switching over everything mid-level, or even mid-fight.

Phazon feat sounds good. Also seems like PoC has some phazon templates for baddies, interesting... :plotting

Anomander: Morning Mist failed to prevent the attack.

Would you rather I used PoC feats and modules from here out, seeing as it seems MaI has been politely but sternly asked to leave Garryl's focus?

I will most likely also take the feat. Though, the ultimate question becomes which feat...

Since it kinda makes sense, and I can't really think of any other feat to take, Oslecamo I'd like to take PHAZON INITIATE from the Metroid as Incarnum list. I'll copy it here and will provide a link to the feat list:

Phazon Initiate [Phazon]
Prerequisites: Con 13 and any non-good alignment.
Benefits: You gain Phazon resistance 2 and DR 2/magic. You gain a +2 bonus on saves against effects that would make you sickened. You take a -1 penalty on all Will saves. You may activate modules and qualify for feats as though you had the Phazon subtype.
Normal: Most modules with the Phazon descriptor cannot be activated by characters without the Phazon subtype.

The orb's magic, attempting to improve and 'complete' him, awoke the Phazon nodes within him to prepare him for the trials to come.

Fifty subdual damage brings me to 66 nonlethal damage, way more then my forty something hit points. So unless that sudden concealment stretches to Rabbit, and works, Rabbit will be blind and speechless by virtue of being unconscious :)

Now, I'm not saying that there are little imaginary cuccos clucking in a circle over his head... but I'm not saying they aren't there, either.

EDIT: Fixing my "Just Woke Up" math. 63 subdual. :)

I'm doing well. The ground outside is covered in snow and coated with a sheath of ice, but I'm toasty warm inside. I hope things are well on your end :)

Rabbit moves to shield his eyes from the incoming pulse of light, though fortunately for what remains of his eyesight the pulse never comes. Instead, the shade of the hero of old split into four. Four defeated heroes. And one annoying little Fadore.

With relative calm, though slightly winded from the conflict, Rabbit turned to the replica in green. It wore green, Fadore wore green. Was she really stupid enough to broadcast that obviously. Probably not, but maybe she hoped no one would think that. Tactics weren't actually Rabbit's strongest subject, but he had managed well thus far. His helmeted gaze resting squarely on Fadore before he started his walk with a confident stride, Rabbit strode towards the pulsing red orb near the Green Shade with his frosted starmetal scythe still at the ready. A cold fog rolled off the blade as he walked towards the orb to claim it, and victory.

It's entirely possible that the shade duplicates are still considered "Prone" and thus unable to make Attacks of Opportunity.

Though, this shade seems to be playing by a higher set of morals, and hitting someone from behind seems like something he wouldn't instinctively do.

Jeremy keeps reminding me that magic users aren't my forte.

Then you're in serious treble.

This one's for you MM! Well, for everyone really, but mostly because of what MM just posted.

Rabbit managed to avoid the worst of the wave with a well timed duck and roll. If it weren't for his pesky internal skeletal system, he might have been able to duck and roll a little better to avoid most of it, but at least that damn blinding light is over. Time to step it up a notch.

Ranged attacks were keeping him pinned, but as twisted and insane as she was, Fadore was right. That blaster of his could really hurt someone. Though, that was it's intended purpose. It just almost hurt the wrong person. The pirate in him told him to keep attacking Fadore, as attacking her could force the Hero's Shade to prioritize defending her.

Though, something in the Pirate told him this would be wrong, and that voice was starting to get a little stronger.

Once the bomb smoke cleared, Rabbit put feet to floor and hustled towards the Hero's Shade. Rather then a reckless charge, this was a closing tactic. There was a charging cry, but it served more to make Rabbit the center of the Hero's Shade's attention. Give his companions perhaps a better chance to strike, a better angle, if it were focused on him. His swing with his battle scythe wasn't the best, but perhaps it would serve as a distraction.

Unless the Hero's Shade is drunk or allergic to ranged attacks, I probably just shot the floor.

And, in keeping up with the pressure, Rabbit fires off a shot. Shame his aim wasn't as good as his inspirational speeches.

My apologies.

Well let's see... Maybe one more round to take down the remaining mooks, another to kill Demogorgon...

At this rate, assuming more bad guys don't show up, we might be done with this combat by 2018. Seriously, check the dates. This round started A YEAR AND A HALF AGO.

I like to think I'm a patient person, but something had better fucking change in the next month or so. I know real life comes first and all, and I'll never complain about that, but this is ridiculous.

A YEAR AND A HALF! Entire GAMES start and finish in that time.

First off, relax. There's no need for such profanity. We don't use the "D" word in this house. He'll hear you, and then it's no fun for anyone.

Second, there's a lot of super heroes in this game. I think Sable may be the only one built with just one set of rules. There's a lot of massive enemy stats going on back there behind the screen, not to mention that for a while Metro and SirP had to each run two games full of rule monster supermonkeys, so merging them together only complicated the issue further.

Also, as a supporting point to that, we don't meet at your table every Thursday. We meet when we can here on this board. All you have to do is post what your one character does. Metro and SirP have to compare the thirty seven to-hit rolls that we all bombard them with, each, against however many monsters there are, minus bonuses, calculating miss chances, reticulating splines, and then seeing to damage. When they get the chance. They have families too. Not families they got through the Leadership feat which they can sweep under the rug when it's convenient.

This campaign is an enormous undertaking. I won't even do the standard "I'd like to see you do this" because honestly, wrangling this many cats together in one box isn't something anyone wants to try. I've seen a campaign with THREE nigh-omnipotent assholes, just THREE... get cancelled before it started because the GM took a look at the characters and was literally "Nope. Done.". So the fact that Metro and SirP have, what, twelve? Thirteen sons of Krypton here...

I hate to sound preachy, so I'll get off my soap box in a moment, and I know you'd never complain about it... except you kinda did. So I'm giving it back.

Games that meet every week for four hours with characters built on established limits begin and run in a year and a half. If you honestly can tell us that you'd allow any of the characters in this thread to sit at your table, then please let us know what state you live in. I'd love to run a Paladin Necromancer Psion Mage Monk Assassin Thrallherd Scion of Wee Jas.

Or maybe I'd just write up a monster with one level of Commoner. Just to keep the other players guessing.

To the others, I apologize for my rant. Metro and SirP are good friends of mine off the board.

Sheerak and the one who bore her face stared at each other across the gulf for a moment. Sister? Parent and daughter? Multiversal coincidence? Matters that could be attended to at another time. There were foes to destroy. One of them had a heart that beat for order, and for the obligation to aid Star to procure information regarding the murder of her master. The other had a heart, but what tune it beat to was anyone's guess. Though, while Vir handled the other Mariliths, Sheerak and her misformed twin turned their attention to the Uruk'hai orcs. Demon or Tiefling, neither of them appreciated Orcspawn, and so while one drew her terrible spiked chain, the other drew a similar length of chain, and then more and more swords. An endless dervish of pain, regardless of the wielder.

With frighteningly similar battle cries, the pair launched themselves into the fray, looking to wipe the scourge of the Uruk'hai from this joke of a world. The fighting styles the pair uses are frighteningly similar.
