Min/Max 3.x / Methods for gaining HD in Pathfinder

I've been doing a little theoretical building, trying to see what kind of time-frame it takes for a turnip farmer to reach demigod-like power in Pathfinder, and I've run into a question - what methods are there for gaining HD in Pathfinder, other than gaining levels?
Fusion + Astral Seed is one obviously, and that's already part of the plan for when it becomes available. But are there any cheaper methods I could access in the meantime? Most of the 3.5 ones aren't available or don't work the same way - Lycanthropy no longer gives you animal HD, for example.
Sources: Any 1st party, plus DSP.
Restrictions:
1) Only CR 10 or lower NPCs are available to hire, for spellcasting or other services.
2) Items can still be bought, up to the normal purchase limit for a Metropolis (100K).
3) Custom staffs and psicrowns are allowed, using the normal guidelines. And skill-boosting items up to +10. No other custom items.
4) In terms of what exists in the world (for Simulacrum purposes, for example), any character up to 20th level, plus all published monsters and NPCs. But not, for example, a 50 HD Solar with a dozen templates.
