Intresting fact: In a furball like this, the estimated casualty rate is roughly 50%.

Having seen a bunch of his creations I fear PhaedrusXY. I don't know which character he's playing but ... (shudder).
Thanks. :lol I've actually been second guessing myself. I didn't really have time to make a new character from scratch, and so recycled one that I'd made for an old game, but never got to use. It's heavily based on one of VennDygrem's old characters that he played in a (brief) PbP we were both PCs in, in fact. ;)

Now I'm wishing I'd made use of some of the following (maybe in combination):

1) A paladin with the weird substitution level that basically gives him a dragonborn horse mount.
2) A soulbow with the Wild Cohort feat (and some kind of flying animal cohort).
3) Something with Vow of Poverty.
I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

I had also considered making some kind of soulbow.

I'm interested in seeing how this goes. I'll be happy to make it of the starting area alive.

Should we all state actions in PM now or wait for our turn to come up in initiative order? Oh, and what are the distances to the center pile and between podiums?

Wait for your turn order, and post it in the thread. Once you leave the clearing, switch to PM's.  Oh, 40 feet.

Going to post this for our reference, from the recruitment thread:

Quote from: Wrex
It's a move action to grab "Something useful' - something good for you, but random. It takes a full round action to find something more specific, like a sword, with a stiff notice check required to find something even more specific, like "A +1 eager  consumptive sword". If you have two minutes, you can take twenty.

And how far is it from the pedestals to the edge of the clearing?

How high are the pedestals?

And how wide are the pedestals?

That roll sucked. :( Only good thing that skill rolls don't have critical failures...

Only about ten feet, the AM field stops at the pedestals.

Roughly seven feet

and about fifteen feet wide.

You could roll for damage even before knowing if the attacks hit, you would just ignore the damage rolls if they didn't. Or you could roll the damage in a new post. You are allowed to make multiple posts, so don't edit.

I tried rolling 1d3+3d6+6 and the roller interpreted it as 1d3+3, so a corrected roll is in the next post.

Also, go figure I roll a 20 against an amorphous blob.

Out of curiosity, is that bonus damage typed as anything?
I look forward to seeing your char-sheet when this is done. :D

I would think it's physical damage. Unfortunately, I found a typo on my character sheet and it should have only been 2d6 not 3d6.

Wrex, do with that what you will. Sorry about the mix-up.

three cheers for Gordon E. Moore.

Also, good timing, I was just beginning to get a bit worried about this.

I'll also have way too many typos until I can get used to a laptop keyboard.

It appears Wob Niar has managed to get away, and the alliance - iron man can actually take control.
the hunter is seeking items, the kobold is up and dislikes the alliance, but everyone else has either run away, is on our team, or is in the process of being eaten.  :D

It's funny how closely this is mimicking the actual book.

Who's Wob Niar?

So the metalman is equivalent to Cato or Clove. The face-mask guy is foxface or thresh, and gelatinous cube ~= Glimmer.
Who is mimicing who otherwise?

Well that would be telling.  :plotting
