Let's see... provided that there's no apparent (to the modder, at least) differences in the file structure or the nature of ESP's, all of them that don't rely on the script extender should be available if there's no required screening/private market stupidity. Unless Bethesda actually chips in to help with porting it to other systems. the F4SE stuff can't make the jump.

Though you're more likely to overly strain the system.

I would be shocked if Microsoft didn't insist on some kind of screening for anything that goes up on their marketplace.
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

As I said, private market stupidity. If it's set up so you can only do anything through a single official channel that requires pre-approval, it'll probably just wind up with a few of the most popular things, minus any that would normally be behind an age check and any of the radio things. Kinda defeats the point of mods, that.

From what I've heard, they definitely plan on having some sort of screening process--though whether that turns out to be an actual "vet it before it goes up" or just a report system remains to be seen.

As unlikely as it is, I really hope they'll un-bunch their panties and let nude mods and the like through. I'm really done with this false prudishness in the gaming industry. Fallout 4 is already Rated M (17+), and features plenty of sexual encounters. If the devs don't want to take the heat for including actual visuals to go with stuff that's already in the game, that's fine--but at least let the modding community take care of it. We're long past the days of video games being for kids. (In fact, they never really were, at least not exclusively.) And while I don't know about playstation, XBox Live accounts have age info attached, so requiring an age check to download and install adult mods wouldn't be hard.

FFS, there are games out there that are basically thinly veiled porn, I think we can stop pretending the console and game developers actually have any concerns or objections to this kind of content besides "will it hurt sales?"

I'll never get the hangup about nudity in video games. The painted-on underwear's just... weird.

It's been particularly noticeable since FO3, with the big-ol granny panties everybody wears covering more than some of the armors. Prudishness is bad enough, but breaking immersion like that is just unacceptable.  :D

Seriously though, this whole "horrific levels of violence and gore are perfectly fine, as long as there's no nipples" BS is just sick and wrong.

Agreed. Graphical decapitations? A-OK. But god forbid any nipples, or *gasp* a vagina. It's weird, when sex is more wrong than killing...

Welcome to America! Home of the landing ground of the Puritans.

Srly though, it's way more than just decapitations. If I had a nickle for every slow-mo head explosion complete with bits of brain and flying eyeballs...

...well I wouldn't have to wait 'till payday to go get a drink. :p

Not that I mind that much, honestly I find it pretty hilarious, but when I first started playing FO3 I really wasn't desensitized to that constant level of gore yet. Hell, the super mutant gore bags still kinda squick me out. (Though that doesn't stop me from looting them, despite the frigging sound they make.)

Oddly enough, Mass Effect 3 did have vaginas in-game--but only as a not-so-obvious detail on the reaper-modified Banshees, and therefore gross and disturbing as fuck. I mean seriously, what the hell? You can sleep with like half the cast of that game, and the only anything you get to see is on the horrifying cyber-zombies trying to kill you?

Or punching things and watching them explode.

... in the end, my FNV character gained the ability to hit a deathclaw so hard in one punch that it exploded. :lmao

Superheated Saturnite Power Fist, actually.

I'd need to try it without the power armour and power-armour-affecting mods, but I'm pretty certain that VATS + Uppercut + all relevant official perks and stats IS capable of exploding a Deathclaw.

I can't believe I only now found this thread.

Hey guys. Anybody got any tips for leveling fast around level 70? Turning in quests is getting boring as shit, I can't even find anything that'll tickle me anymore unless it straight-out shoots radiation at me. And even then, if it's daylight, it eventually works itself out. (The late-level perks for Endurance make healing so goddamn trivial it's almost disgusting. You can literally just fast travel from one point to another in the map and go from "near ghoulified" to "healthier than anyone".)

More levelling, obviously.  :P

I ended up with a generalist non-build. For the most part I want to find harder things to kill.

At level 70, there are no harder things to kill. The level lists are defeated and you are a living god with the greatest of implements. :P

WITH all that, it explodes the Legendary Deathclaw.

Even without the mod-added power armour buffs, I think a normal one's fucked. :lmao

RE: Mods, I'd like that full dialogue wheel mod

Really depends on how you want to play it.

For me, I really get into the roleplaying, so I tend not to sidetrack from the main quest unless it's an obvious lull or something's on the way. What I ended up doing was taking piper with me to rescue Nick, sticking with the main quest until it took me to Goodneighbor (just a few stages after getting Nick) and then starting the Silver Shroud quest while I was there, on the premise that I needed to put off the main quest until I could gather enough junk to upgrade my power armor with lead plating. (You'll know why when you get to that point.)

Also, I figured by that point my character's cracking up just a smidge, so
(click to show/hide)
wouldn't be that out of character. :D
