Brain Power: A Mind Mage Handbook (discussion)

This is my first handbook. I'll be working on formatting gradually.

As far as material, I'm particularly looking to expand on the Spells & Powers section of the handbook, especially good touch attack spells for use with Force Touch.

Your Sorc/Wilder early entry build is invalid. Wilders don't get 2nd level powers until level 4, thus delaying the build by another level. The Psi Demonbinder suffers from the same issue.

How does Force Touch interact with Concussion Blast when you have it damage multiple targets? Does the touch spell only affect one or all of them?

Forgot about that on Wilders, I don't work with them too often, thanks.

Force Touch will only apply the spell component to one target of a multi-target Concussion Blast. Target of the spell component must be within line of sight & effect. I'll make note of that detail, thanks again.

Ardent has to get to level 2, before the ML trickery kicks in.
Level 1 is restricted to 1st level powers only.  Otherwise,
that build is pretty much the same. And it works.

Early entry on the Arcane side is helpful.
Wiz 1 with Precocious Apprentice (if allowed) or
Sorc 1 with the more kosher early entry tricks.
So ... X 1 / Ardent 2 / Cerebre X / MM 10 / Cerebre the rest.
Almost all feats are spoken for early, still need
Psiotheurgist feat(s) to get Psi 9s at a reasonable time.

What really breaks it open, is to use the higher powered
definition of Magic Mantle that KellK, Phoenix00 use.
(and my kitty avatar too)
Ardent 7 / NarD 1 / MM 10 / X ? ... thin early and waits on
Dominant Ideal until level 21. Otherwise Psi 9s on time.

Fixed the Ardent build

Made note of the Magic Mantle NarD

(Too many brain farts when I scribbled down a few skeleton builds  :-\)

Mind Mage seemed mroe appealing before I learned about the CL/ML loss.  It has such steep requirements and no full casting/manifest progression?  Ug!

Mind you, I'm coming from a perspective of a solo Warforged Conjurer1/Shaper3/Cerebremancer10 who is difficult to kill, has plenty of minions, and throws buckets of black lotus poison at foes via psionic minor creation starting at level 2.  Oh, and Psiotheurgist: Conjuration/Metacreativity for astral construct and swarm of crystals at absurd manifester levels!  (Orb spells, even lesser orb of sound, rock from early on with this combo.)

Also, Reserves of Strength!  It seemingly applies to manifester level and caster level due to transparency.

Added a note on RoS, thanks.

It's not unfathomable to do some of the same tricks in the early levels as one builds up to Mind Mage, granted that the choices are limited on the availability of feats. I haven't had the time or desire to replicate general theurge tricks that are available without Mind Mage, though I should probably hunt down those threads and at least reference them in the Links section. When I wrote this up, the general thought was to try and emphasize the class features and Psi-spell options.

Unfortunately I haven't had the ability to torment my PCs with a Mind Mage encounter yet for the sake of experience. Currently running Age of Worms, and while Zyrxog makes for a tempting candidate, it would end up being too many class levels, CR/EL, before getting into the more interesting class features.
