So my group plays 3.5 with pathfinder content included and I made a Master Spy. The campaign isn't combat heavy and even if it were I'm not looking to make a melee monster or anything--I'm perfectly comfortable making a social, RP-heavy character with a minor in trap/lock removal, despite that very definitely not being my M.O. She's not an awful flanking buddy though. I figured once things really jump off she can be a solid UMDer. The problem is I have a feat I need to take and I can't think of a single thing to get. I could also use some advice on Rogue Talents.

The build is PF Rogue 7 / PF Master Spy 6 at the moment. I took Feign Death from EoE and Nimble Fingers from Dungeonscape (DM allows it to work on locks AND traps).

Stats after level bonii:
10 Str
18 Dex
15 Con
18 Int
13 Wis
18 Cha

Current feats are H:Iron Will (prereq) 1: Deceitful (PF version, prereq) 3: Weapon Finesse 6: Improved Feint 9; Staggering Strike 12: Nothing!
The Rogue talents I took so far are Charmer, Coax Information, and Convincing Lie. I have the Assume Quirk, Second Impression, and Social Recovery skill tricks as well.

I'm not sold on Convincing Lie but I like the first two talents. I thought about Finesse Rogue but I don't know what feat to get in its place. None of the trap talents scream out to me since I have the Nimble Fingers ACF, and the disguise ones are redundant with the Master Spy class features as well as my Ring of Chameleon Power. I kind of like the Minor Magic and Major Magic talents but I'm already level 13 so I can usually just scroll and wand stuff (theoretically). I might even look at Guileful Polyglot but, you know, magic. I think I want to take Follow Clues; sounds fun. Anyone have any experience with this or any advice?

As far as the build goes, I'm aware that Bard is a superior entry choice but I really like the idea of her being more mundane. Plus, I have a ton of Bards already and I hate the way PF nerfed my favorite class (though I can use the 3.5 Bard), although some of the archetypes are quite cool (thought very hard about Archaeologist Bard). One debate I'm internally having is taking Rogue to 10 so I can use my 12th, 15th, and 18th level feats on advanced talents, but I want the Master Spy abilities as soon as possible. A conundrum. I'm definitely leaning toward Rogue 10 Master Spy 3 at the moment.

I know Improved Feint isn't great but she has a fantastic Bluff and combined with Staggering Strike she's a great flanking buddy and can hold her own in one-on-one briefly. No idea where to take her build as far as feats go but I think the best thing would be to take more Talents. I could use some advice here.

Anyway, thanks for reading. Please let me know what you think!

All 3.5 books, Dragon, PF.
Adamantine Body, 12 Dex
~250k budget, +GP enhancements advice is less important since they can be added on.
I know of this: The 3.5 Armor and Shield Special Ability Thread

+1 because of Greater Magic Vestment.  Maybe +3 for convenience with armour crystals.

No need for heavy fort since the Warforged feat that gives immunity to crits.  Improved Resilience?  Or is that nonlethal damage? Whatever.

Soulfire is suspect due to being a caster.
So Greater Burring perhaps for +3?  It's a melee character.
Energy Immunity?
Angelic?
Which armor crystal? Adaptation is my guess.  At the same time though, Cleric, so Planar Tolerance is a thing.
I dunno, what do you guys think?

Looks quite playable to me, and fun too.

I suppose a balor wouldn't normally be cooking, but considering the infinite nature of the abyss one of the many layers with McDonald's franchises could have a washed-up balor working for SP...

My name comes from Spaten Optimator.  I really like the name in itself and I love the beer.  I once went a few months where I would use the word "optimate" for almost every verb.  Fun stuff.

My avatar, on this forum, was chosen primarily because the forum supports it and I thought it'd look cool.  I usually use a Vault Boy portrait on other forums and websites.

Wall of Blades does wonders for the touch AC.

I usually throw average challenges at my players, but it depends on which characters are playing.  Some parties I go nuts and throw hell encounter after hell encounter because I know they'll handle it.

Definitely the Bard.  There's just so much one can do with them.

I've played a lot of Mutants and Masterminds 2nd edition and have enjoyed it immensely.  I haven't played, or even looked at the new third edition.  Does anyone have any experience with it? What are the major changes?  Is it worth switching over to?

The game I'm looking forward too is Mass Effect 3.

If by beer you mean sodas, and by male bonding you mean gaming, and by shitfaced you mean their nerd on, then yes.

I'm not really sure if that's the typical male bonding experience :p

:P maybe not "typical" and not much "bonding" but there's a lot of Experience.
And treasure!

Say I have (Greater) Blurring armor activated, Greater Mirror image with 10 images, and Greater Blink on.  How do I resolve this?  :o

The build you suggested looks pretty good.  One thing I've found is that melee characters in epic are defined by their items more so than ever.  A pair of Discipline (Shadow Hand) Wounding short swords would be pretty sick.

Further note of Frostfell:  It makes the area slippery and it's a 1-round casting time.  ALso, I think it's worth noting on Mummify that is lacks the [Death] descriptor.  I realize that you put the descriptors in your spell list but I think it deserves a remark.
