Yup, it's starting to look like Group 1 is losing interest because stuff isn't really happening. Perhaps we should just start going for the Umber Hulk?
I'm hoping people aren't too worried about attacking it though.
From my perspective:
- NPC gives speech.
- PC's stand around talking about what action to take.
- Other than talking, no one
does anything.
- After a week, I have NPC make comments. Intent was to push forth action.
- PC's talk, still don't actually go anywhere.
I (as DM) react to verbs. To Wit: In the Consuls Hall, people talked out which thing they wanted to do, but then Sorag motioned for the rest of the group to leave, then many people discussed leaving, but it wasn't until Spades actually walked out that I moved the scene.
You guys can ask each other "Hey, want to go?" all damn day. Once one of you says "Yes" and starts moving... that's when things happen.
So it doesn't really matter much what is done, just that there is action.
Basically, me and Graalmas agree.
