A split second from teleporting away, Xuuvosic pauses and grins inhumanly. "Two things. See those pieces of cambion over there? First, it was your bitch Raoul that screwed your pooch. He mentioned something about setting of a paradox in showing up here, but then was all gung ho to do it. Figured he must have been bullshitting in the first place. Coulda knocked me over with a feather when he blew up. Second, you haven't warned me about dick. But I'm guessing you will in my future and your past."

Cussing up and down the list of Abyssal words she knows in her head, Ris-Janna roughly grabs Marlowe by the shoulder and drags him along with her towards the next best alley. From there, she moves around the corner, trying to lead the clerk out of immediate earshot so they could discuss where to start looking. "So," she whispers as silently as possible, "I guess our best bet... is just start asking and killing demons until we get lucky... this plan sucks."

It's hard to tell (given that they're empty flaming holes), but you think the balor's eyes widen in surprise. Just as it starts to bring the whip down, another voice from behind it says "Stand down. They were expected."

The first balor snaps his head around, then lowers its arm, but Xuuvosic hears in his head. "I won't forget you, maggot."

The second voice comes from another balor which looks identical to the first, even to someone used to distinguishing between fiends.

Marlowe grimaces faintly, eyes darting around. "So, find a pair of demons down an alleyway, kill one, and hope the other decides to cooperate rather than fight? This is the seventh worst plan I've ever heard."

"Ugh. Anybody got the plate number on that bolt of lightning?" Raoul noted as he awoke after a nasty bout of much-needed healing. On the upside, it felt better than it looked.

"What'd I miss?" He asks to whoever is left in the pit with him... assuming there's anybody. Otherwise he peers out to check the situation, because let's be honest, the dude would only be talking to himself...

Xuuvosic glares back at the first balor with something approaching a smirk, "That a threat motherfucker? Don't make me go back and fuck your shit up before you were spawned."

He turns to the second balor, "Lets go." and once they are underway he asks, "So how much of the score are you in on?"

Cade crossed his arms. "Ah, so you're alive afterall. I was afraid those wands wouldn't do the trick." The monk cleared his throat, then continued.

"Well, Raoul, it seems that you blew yourself up. Guess you were too close to your past self, since someone else got blown up as well. Big arc between the two of you, I can only assume it was you. Regardless, I don't think it's safe for you out there. Best not to tempt fate, as it were. Anyway, I think Xuuvosic is meeting with some demon higher-up. I didn't catch all of what's going on, and it may make more sense to wait in here before going back out."

Raoul shrugged. "I suppose you're right. Xuuvosic will probably name-call us if he needs us."
