Appearance: A short broad man made of smooth polished black stone laced with veins of gold that radiate cold. His eyes, teeth and nails are also made from solid gold. He is built like a dwarf and incredibly muscle-bound. A six-sided geometric star has been carved into his onyx chest and inlaid with gold.
Abilities: When enraged, Felgryn doubles in height, his face transforming into that of a great lion. His teeth and nails extend into wicked golden fangs and a great mane of jagged crystaline golden glowing ice forms around his face and head. Likewise jagged sheaths of ice sprout from his forearms and shins mimicking the appearance of stylized golden crystaline hair. In this form he is a titan of holy destruction and his ice will infect those of ill intent, scourging their bodies and potentially leaving them a frozen glassy statue.
History:Deep in the Frostfell, there lies hidden a valley. In the center of this valley, there lives a Dryad druid, bound to an ancient mighty oak. One day, while making the rounds of her sacred grove, she noticed a traveler, far up the mountainside, wounded and still pursued by the foul frost giants who made their homes in the surrounding crags. At great risk to her own life, she left the protective zone of her grove and flew to the traveler’s aid. Fighting off the giants with the fury of nature, she barely survived the encounter and only just made it to the healing safety of her grove before it would have killed her. Weakened yet still alive, she nursed the man back to health. The gods took note of this selfless act, as did the traveler. The Dryad, Illumiel was anointed a Saint by the gods for her act. The traveler, a warrior skald of the Uthgartd people, was enamored of the Dryad and vowed to one day return to her.
So holy was the Dryad and her tree, that it’s roots reached far down into the earth, transforming the climate of the valley into a secret Shangri-La, and all manner of grasses and trees began to bloom. Deep down in the earth, the holy energy of life melded with the rock, and Stonechildren sprang from the ground itself. These were loyal to the Dryad, but were of limited mental faculty, never really rising above barbarians. One however, was born smaller than the others, yet far more intelligent and wise. This became her favored son and despite being less strong and hardy than his brothers, he trained diligently becoming the most cunning of warriors.
Illumiel is one of six sister Dryads who in their Sainthood are connected to each other telepathically across the vast expanses of Toril. One by one however, her sisters are being cut off, and she knows, destroyed by dark magics. Vowing to discover the causes behind their deaths, and to protect those yet living, Felgryn set off through the Frostfell, and through the deep of the underdark in search of answers. Presently his task has taken him to the Great Desert, where one of the sisters presides over an oasis hidden deep in the shifting sea of sand dunes…
*Note: Felgryn's race is mechanically not a Stonechild from Races of Stone, nor is his race in the setting that of the same. In Races of Stone, Stonechildren are the magically bred offspring of a mortal and an elemental. In Felgryn's case, his race are elemental creatures born from rock and minerals infused with divinely charged holy energy given off by an Exalted Dryad's roots. Mechanically, Felgryn is made as a mineral warrior Dwarf with the native outsider and Earth subtypes.

Con: n/a
Int: Brighter than some

Appearance: As per the picture, albeit translucent and floating a few inches off the ground.

Being a ghost, he is very difficult to destroy and is even capable of possessing enemies from which he may continue his song. Most bards sing about legends...Magnar has become one unto his own...
History:A member of the mostly domesticated Black Lion Tribe of the Uthgardt Barbarians, Magnar lived most of his life as the rest of his people, acting as a trader, trapper and furrier, but secretly he longed for the glorious past of his proud and savage ancestors.
With his children grown and his wife having passed during a particularly hard winter, Magnar set out for adventure at the ripe age of 60. He traveled far and wide throughout the northern reaches, always seeking stories of glory and accompanying warriors of repute that he might immortalize their deeds in poetry and song.
In his travels he came across a hidden valley while being accosted by Frost Giants. He nearly dies were it not for the beautiful fey that saved his life. He was enamored by the angelic creature, but she was rooted to her valley and he still had many years ahead of him. He wrote her several sonnets and departed, vowing to one day return to her, when his journeys were over.
Many years and adventures followed, and as Magnar felt the advancement of his years he knew death was near. With his last strength he made his way back to that Shangri-La in the Frostfell to find that his beloved Illumiel had fostered a small community of elemental stonechildren. The Dryad was distraught however, for her sisters across Faerun were being slaughtered by an unknown force. She introduced Magnar to Felgryn, the smallest of her sons but the most cunning, dedicated and fierce. As if an omen to Magnar, the mighty Felgryn, made of gold-marbled smooth black stone was gifted by nature to become a powerful protector of nature in the warform of a lion-like creature, symbol of his people. Magnar vowed that not even death would keep him from his beloved and her protection...then he passed on. Rising as an exalted ghost, his remains have been buried deep into the roots of the Dryad's ancient oak. He accompanies Felgryn on his quest and will not reach final rest until Illumiel is safe and he can retire in peace to haunt her hallowed branches.
