No - it wasn't the intention. Some core spells are inherently broken.
No - that's impossible.
Yes - that's the goal.

Yeah, this isn't meant to be a comprehensive system to build any spell ever.

However, it does cover all of the big tropes with a few gaps that need to be filled.

So I took the time to reread the text which breaks down the process of creating a seedspell.

I'm very impressed by the amount of work invested in this. It also got my juices flowing and made me go back to what I was trying to make myself. I'd soon write down something and you're invited to look at it, if you have spare time.

Regardless...
There are places that I found overly convoluted and unnecessary (your mile may vary).
If you go under the Emanation or Area titles; what's the difference between a bolt and a beam? or a stream? A cone AND a quadrant? Why does a dome cost more then a sphere? Also spread, cloud and burst (and sometimes Nova). Basically I argue that all of those can be reduced to some basic bolts.
I also didn't understand the functionality of Arc.

Also, for me personally, I tend to keep both descriptive (i.e. flavor) and informative text separate in a clear way. It's always nice to read a story, but when you have to go fish for numbers and formulas inside a wall of text... but that's just me.

Cheers.

On Arc:

It combines Multiple with Area targeting and the targets have to be within range of each other instead of you.

Example:

You could combine Mutable Nature (Multiple) with Blackest Pit to give multiple targets penalties and also create a line of darkness between all targets as well as in their squares as a debuff and to stop being targeted by ranged attacks.

To answer the question about targeting types - area spells are instantaneous (usually) whereas emanations are duration (again, usually), so you're looking at one-shot spells like fireball vs duration spells like firestorm, hence the slightly repetitive targeting types. Remember, only seeds that are called out as supporting Area / Emanation / etc. can choose those targeting types, so it's necessary to have the duplication.

Another thing:
How do you see the difference between spontaneous casting and non-spontaneous?

Take a look at this post by Garryl to get an idea of how you can approach it using this system.

Updated the spell seeds table, it's now complete.

Okay, you mentioned that the new Seedcasting doesn't have AoE's until level 5.  Cone is a traditional AoE and kicks on at level 3.  However, you're going to be doing full-round action spells there.

Hmm, really low level casters do look to be a little screwed with determining the options of their spell seeds.

They are, but I'm not necessarily sure that's a bad thing, since spellcasters need a bit of weakness, and it'll actually make them feel more like apprentices and learning, as opposed to "well, I ended the fight with a glitterdust/color spray/sleep/grease" etc.

Fair enough.  The only way I can think of to get around it would be a feat to lessen the cost/give bonus SP for a single option and that feels clunky.

Those feats actually used to exist. Not sure if they're still kicking around.

They aren't in the thead that the Arcanist links to from their bonus feats, but that might not be the most recent spell seeds feats thread.

They're in Arhosa General feats, look for Continuance Temporal as one example.

Looks to me like the Arcanist (and probably other classes) should stop referencing the old feats thread and reference the new material for bonus feats.

And you know that I'll always reference the material posted on the boards in a PbP game if one happens again.  :P

PDF referencing just isn't convenient.

Neither is converting several hundred thousand words of text to forum formatting, and then keeping things updated in multiple places.  :P
