You find a young reasonably attractive man running a pokemon doll shop, you could take a look around.

I nod at him, but keep moving.
“Hast thou not felt in forest gloom, as gloaming falls on dark-some dells, when comes a whisper, hum and hiss; savage growling sounds a-near, dazzling flashes around thee flicker, whirring waxes and fills thine ears: has thou not felt then grisly horrors that grip thee and hold thee?”

You see several more stalls, then...

you see it

sitting on top of a shelf

a plushie ponyta doll...

Right there, being all soft and adorable.

But there is a game of skill right beneath it...  A young boy who is definitely not a meowth stands on a barstool and says "Roll Up Roll Up, eh?  Would the pretty lady like to win a prize?  only 100 yencoins for one try!"

I give him an appraising look.  "What's the game?"

He takes the 100 yencoin coin and drops it into a collection box.  There are a few people also playing, mostly little kids eyeing different dolls on the shelfs.  Beatrice stands a little taller than most of the players, but the person and not a pokemon at all running the booth says "Okay y'all, follow this clefairy!"  A curtain parts and there is a clefairy in a tutu.  "Y'all are gonna follow its dance moves, the last person standing without making a mistake wins!  Any questions?"

I shake my head.  No questions.  Only Ponytas.

♪Fairy~Fairy~  Fairy~Fairy~  Fairy~ Fairy~♪

the small pokemon sings and dances around.  Beatrice, laser focused on her objective, manages to keep in perfect time with the small dancing robot, even as the stall runner pulls people out who he catches making mistakes.

It is down to two.  Beatrice and a young boy are both dancing, showing their true hearts dancing the song of Clefairy's ancient people.  The Clefairy speeds up and Beatrice barely catches the clefairy faking out a dance move, and switching at the last second.  Beatrice poses correctly.  The young boy, however, was fooled by the fake out and hits the ground, off balance.

"Looks like we have a winner~"  Announces the stall owner.  "congratulations young girl, you can take a prize from our shelf~"

I take the Ponyta and hug its soft, squishable body.

The ponyta is indeed soft and squishable, some of the kids pay the young owner another 100 yencoins, some leave to try other games.  You are now free to continue, your winnings in hand.

Surfacing from the plush-induced haze, I check to make sure that my party is all with me.

Happy with my stuffed Ponyta, I resume my leisurely search for small girls with Unown.

you find no small girls with unown, there is a large haunted house looking place called "The House of Gengar"  there is an older purple haired gentleman running it.  you see some carnival rides womanned by a woman with long pink hair.  passing those, you stumble across the food area, the smells of fabulously delicious and terrible food waft towards you.

I consider what I know about Period, and make for the House of Gengar.

you approach the elderly man.  He looks up at you and says: "Oh, there is no way a second youth, so young and innocent, is coming to challenge the terror and might of the House of Gengar!  I feel almost bad for taking your money!"

A second youth...?  Maybe she's inside!

I reach into my bag and pull out my wallet.  "Take my yen coins, old man, I'm not afraid!"
