General Discussion/OOC
« on: November 08, 2011, 10:59:08 PM »
This is the last post from the previous discussion thread.  My understanding is that they are not going to port any of the old stuff over, so I think we are stuck either porting stuff over manually, or just jumping back and forth for a bit until things have moved on a bit more.

My understanding at this point is that we are hired to just generally patrol the regions around Cyndre.

The things of interest that we have found that likely should be looked into are:

1) Corrupted animals learned of via reports in the library.
2) Moathouse, mostly to my mind it is Ruko (and his mercenary gang) that has raised this point to us first in trying to recruit Jax to help explore it and then with their concerns that
we might beat them to it.
3) Old shanty town which Mialgru has learned is bustling with activity and that we have learned is generally considered a criminal outpost that is greatly avoided (from Beorn).

Seems at least on the surface that the Shanty Town is likely to be the more dangerous place depending on the security and nature of its inhabitants.  That one should probably be scouted further before we approach it.

Though I might not post much in this game, I am actively following it. It's just that my character is very quiet and not a leader-type. He sees himself as the bodyguard of the two "dwarves" (aka kobolds disguised as dwarves), and so just silently follows them most of the time, unless something else is called for.

LOL, this dice roller is freakin skewed.  Wasted 20 + results on a preview making sure the code was right hehe.

Also, due to issues with the roller do we want to use it or continue with Invisible Castle?

Yeah phaedrusxy, that's about what I figured for your guy.  Maybe one day we can find a way to animate him into a real boy.  :P

Tork has no problem not fighting the Wolf.  This is not his land.  If we don't take down the wolf then the disease might spread to more animals and the problem might multiply.

We are only first level and fighting everything might get you killed.  I mean will get you killed.

Tork just made it back to the party and is still hidden.  He will follow along where the party goes.  I will forgo my hide in plain sight, if I need too to keep up with the party, I feel I need to comment on something or we get into a fight.

I'm mostly waiting to see what the group consensus is and what Mialgru does with the information.

Its all good to me. I'm good with both fight the beast or going around. If I have to vote I would like to take it out to stop the desease from spreading but not at the cost of a life and that adveenturing.  I do not have very much range attack but I do not mind letting others shine. :)

While Bobbynock would perfer to avoid it if possible, I/he has no objections to fighting it.

If you have an icon you would like me to use when placing you on the battle maps, go ahead and let me know.  I'm currently going to attempt to use maptool to post up movements during combat (I'm not the greatest with these tools so bare with me).

I added the following to the reply.

"It looked all good until I started rolling. :( "

Why does the system show that I modified my rolls.  Can I not change the text area after I roll the dice?

Fuuuck! a 31 grapple check? Aren't we 1st level? *looks at sheet* Yeah, I'm not crazy. Ah well, at least he can hold his breath for a long time... unless they have something to screw that up, too.   :tongue

Vilenatas, I think the frog has a 20% chance to miss me from my Child of Shadow (Shadow) stance. It's a chance it will miss me.

Yep Phaedruxy, you get to play up that "I'm a construct, I don't need to breathe" part :)

Well... he's not technically a construct.  ;)

And...
Jax, seeing the danger to the Construct and Gnome rushes towards them drawing his bow releasing a shot.  The smaller frog being just outside his optimal range he releases his shot up the large frog drawing Kalal towards the putrid moat.

(click to show/hide)

You do know that without Precise Shot, you have a 50% chance to hit Kalal with that, right?

Edit: Hell... after rereading the feat, I'm not sure that even negates it. A 12 wouldn't hit Kalal anyway, luckily. :P

Hmmm, I'd considered the space between Kalal and the Frog to be a moderating circumstance but I guess I'd better check with DM first :)

As I recall it is the subsequent grapples that put you in the same space yes?

Anyways, RAW.. yep simply being grappled 50%.  I'll go put a caveat on my post.

And didn't he have a flaw that made him more susceptible to water?
