The Silly Literalist Duergar Enlarger
« on: July 29, 2012, 09:35:20 PM »
The Savage Progression Duergar (scroll down) gets enlarge person as a racial SLA.  Most notable is that this ability affects "only the [Duergar] and whatever she carries."

You can carry creatures, such in your hands or your pack.  If enlarge person would affect you, and the Duergar carries you, then you should be enlarged too.

This silly literalist reading is part of the title and the concept, but what do you think?

I think this should go into the Rules Quirks thread.  under a more general heading of "poor ability wording".

I wouldn't exactly call it broken. You could take a Tauric Duergar as a cohort and mount it for the shared size increase, but it'd add more hilarity than power.

:) The above actually works, although a DM may make it stop working when the extra creature is no longer carried
