Melben, since apparently FU-M8 ended up as yet another NPC for you to play, would it help if I took it on using the protocols format? Give you a bit less to do  :)

Sure thing. What would you like it to help you with?

Mainly the technical stuff: Use Computer (access computers, maybe astrogation) and Mechanics (repair stuff if needed). Didn't have something overly specific in mind, just thought having an astromech tag along would be cool :)

Astrogation and repair would likely be outside of combat and take longer than the protocol format allows. I will still allow them to be used but it wont be in the stat block. If those two skills are to be used then what skill uses do you want to leverage during an encounter?

Use Computer
Improve Access (2 swift actions 1/turn)
Issue Routine Command (1 swift action, 1/turn)

Mechanics
Disable Device (2 swift actions, 1/turn, booby trap add 15 to DC)
Jury Rig (2 swift actions, 1/turn)

Move (1 swift action, 2/turn)

Would these protocols work or do you want to go with the standard R2 astromech protocols?

That took forever to type  :) Kept some of the things that make M8 unique though to separate him from the typical astromech. So the skills are based off the character as is the systems.

YAY!! we are back!

Kuro, if you see this. We can talk about your character concept here. Most use Mythweavers to post there sheets for my games but using a format like Nanshork does also works well. As long as it is kept updated.

No problem. It goes quite a way back a couple years  :lmao.

Silten and Rald helped thwart a sabotage of a recycling center on Alderaan and saved a bunch of people. The foreman gave you a strange piece of ancient alien tech that you determined functioned like a hyperdrive but it was not working. You stowed it on the Banshee.

I assume I forgot about it and never touched it?   :p

I am pretty sure that on one of the trips (probably when the Banshee took you all from Alderaan to Falucia) that Silten was working on it along with doing some gear upgrades for the party.

Note to self: Never make a crafter again because I can't remember what I crafted.

Do you want to just say that it is installed then?

Past week or so has been rough on me and I have not had any spare time to escape to here to post.

As for the hyperdrive. There really hasn't been any time to install it yet. You only just got back with the ship from your errand to the Star Worm. In order to upgrade it now, the group will likely want to help Hallomar. If not, you can lift off, but then you'll have to rely on the backup which is a x12. I need to look up how long the install would take, you have plenty of mechanic trained resources with you so there are plenty of helpers to cut the time down a bit.

Ok, using the rules in Starships of the Galaxy.

Time (in days) = Emplacement points (4) x cost modifier (5) / number of workers (however many of you are trained in mechanics, which beyond Silten, is Crash, M8, and Captain O'keefe. So divided by 4)

So it would be 5 days to get the new component installed, configured, and tested.

It was waiting for an invite, actually.  :P

Also, we have the fluff, but I have no idea on the mechanics of what I'm gonna do with my character besides "Human so he can get Force Sensitive".

Finally found a spare moment to post and my computer decides to do an update. Going to make due with my phone for this.

Character creation is a 28 point buy. You can use all the books except Legacy Era Campaign Guide. I have some house rules in the news and updates thread.

Characters are level 3 right now.

How much experience with SWSE do you have? If your new to the system, I can give as much guidance as you want and Nan and LB are very helpful too.
