I'm not sure how high the hype is. It feels exactly like Castlevania should feel, which is unsurprising because duh, same creator. It unfortunately feels a bit short (I'm about 12 hours in and nearly done with my first playthrough), but it hits all the right notes on the fun and gameplay department, which makes it all worthwhile to me.

I mean, twelve hours seems about right for a castlevania-style deal.

And it turns out it was worth asking because my levels in Eternal Royal gave me access to Knowledge (Religion).

I don't mean to intrude.  I just saw that you might have room for one more, and I've been posting in moldering threads.  I'm eager to try me some monster classes.  I made a few guys who might be a bit powerful, and I probably need some correction.  First attempt: Mr. Gruble and Lady Selinda . Second attempt: the arguably less powerful Professor Smyth. Quickly scaled down Favored Child based on Selinda.  Thank you for your consideration.

Ok, first, there is a thread for character sheets.

Second, for power levels please test your character against the following and post the rough reports:

A Fire Giant.
A Young adult Blue Dragon (ignore the dragon's spells).
A Bebilith.
A Vrock (notice it has at-will mirror image and telekinesis to fling stuff from 880 feet away).
A pair of Mind Flayers.
An evil 10th level cleric with a big pile of 1HD human skeletons tagging along.
6 Trolls.
A lot of Shadows.

Your character need to beat at least 4 of those battles, but if you double the number of enemies and still win over half of them then your character needs to be toned down a bit.
