Suddenly a high pitched whistle can be heard as two arrows streak from the hills. One pierces Dunor, the other sinks into the snow at the large man's feet. An accompanying howl of a wolf comes on the breeze along with 'Lye utue i' orodaes!" in Elven.

Galadren obediently removes his crossbow from his shoulder and sets it carefully down in the snow at his feet.
He pointedly does not remove his dagger from his boot, and he discreetly wraps the carrying strap of the crossbow around his foot - if he needed to kick the weapon back up into his hands, he'd be ready.
Then he calmly raises his hands up into the air over his head.

The request to disarm was a reasonable one, hence why Galadren was willing to play along - but the trouble with xenophobic racist assholes was that there was nothing stopping them from deciding to be xenophobic racist assholes after the group was completely at their mercy and kill them all without a second thought.
And while Galadren would prefer not to kill his brethren if it could be helped, he wouldn't lose any sleep over needing to do so after they picked a fight.

Dunor doesn't quite know what's being shouted back and forth, but the intent, from Galadren's actions, is clear enough. He doesn't care for casting away his weapon while others trained their sights upon the group, but he also gathered it was better to work this scene out peacefully rather than to get in another fight... especially with so long a day ahead of them.

Dunor tosses his hammer to the side a few feet, then raises his hands up, waiting for further cues from his elvish-speaking companions.

Shandien watches the scene unfold and knowing he can recall his weapon with ease tosses it into the snow. "I believe they are hunting the same group we are looking for, but believe we are that group."


Theo remains still with his arms out wide trying to remain reserved but these elves were starting to get on his nerves, "We are complying with your demands, and we are clearly not the group you are looking for. It looks as though we share a common purpose, for we also seek a party that was headed for that tower. Perhaps we can share with each other what we have learned?". Thespias hopes they just choose not to speak the common tongue.


"Nair os thosi." the elf issues to his comrades before descending further into the ravine to approach your position "Rni cel ei kyr os orodaes mes eir osaelaer. Shi cyrn si aelaesaer si syrdaes eil shaeraer mystaerol ailodi shaelari si thaer air eiraes."

Galadren considers the information about this group of adventurers - it certainly matches up with what they were told.
The fact that the forest was covered in winter also suggests a root cause in something happening inside the tower.

"That doesn't natural to me.  It's likely that something happened while they were in the tower that caused this unnatural winter.  Dealing with them is unlikely to solve this problem for you.  We can try to go into the tower to fix it if you would like."
