Alrighty... basically you have to pick an engagement range from where to start hostilities. I'm going to spontaneously make this just a bit challenging, so as to not bore you. And I want to know what your characters can do when working together.

The demons slowly began organising themselves, slightly. They gathered together in a small group - small was all that was left. There were two small black demons of roughly humanoid shape with long claws, dripping acid on the ground, a scrawny bird not unlike what the mutant must have looked like, and a massively muscular large demon with a huge gaping maw. They seemed to be discussing their course of action from there - and seemed to be ignoring the mutant who was dragging his unconscious compatriot northward through the sand.

Aria and co. walked towards the remaining demons discussing they're strategy. When they had come within a mile of the hoard Aria guided her animal companions behind a dune to wait out the battle.

After dropping off the animals Aria turned to Thor "I'm not bringing the portal with me so if they see us come back here."

With that Aria faded out of view.

Thor's smile then changed, warping and stretching until it was no longer human. He had taken the form of a Phaerlock with the magic of his ancestors. Moving as close to the demons as he could Thor paused for a second to concentrate before sliding into sightlessness. Thor moved slowly and silently towards a demon who was both close and powerful (e.g. a target worth taking out).

Sorry, guys, I was busy as fuck. I also won't manage a tactical map just yet, so please just post your movement distances within the fight and any intentions of flanking, etc, we'll just wing it.

As Thor approached his target - the strongest demon and probably most valuable target - his nose suddenly met a vile stench, which tugged at his intestines instantly, enough to make him puke out-right. Aria was saved from the stench by flying above the group, and Magnar was obviously unaffected on the ethereal plane.

It also seemed like their invisibility was not penetrated - noone reacted to the approach. Thor could not find any serious shadows - the only shadows were produced by the demons themselves, and due to the time of day these were not long.

Thor please make a Fort Save DC24 or be nauseated for as long as you remain within 10ft of the demon and for 4 rounds afterwards. [Experiencing stomach distress. Nauseated creatures are unable to attack, cast spells, concentrate on spells, or do anything else requiring attention. The only action such a character can take is a single move action per turn.]  If you save, you are sickened for as long as remain within 10ft of the creature. [The character takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.]
Obviously this only happens if you are not immune to poison.

Magnar's attempt met little resistance... He was now posessing a weakish demon.

Okay!  first time EVER using my dynamic duo in combat...did I mention that Felgryn is the most complex DnD character I've ever made, in terms of build?  Absolutely absurd...for a simple beatstick...

The strangest thing happened then...the Babau, in it's normal voice, began singing.  This would have been odd enough, for the foul fiend's voice was a burbling sickening sound, but moreover the creature seemed to be boistrous, prancing around it's fellows.  The language was strange as well..nothing like any demon tongue, but thick and heavily accented.  As the words sunk into Aria and Thor, they felt themselves filled with holy power, stronger, filled with courage and a holy mandate to strike down all the enemies of good.

Before any of the other demons could react however, there was a tremendous eruption as Felgryn burst from the sand...only the onyx man had changed.  His face had transformed into that of a mighty lion, still with eyes of molten gold, and his golden metal teeth and claws had elongated into the fangs and talons.  Intricate veins of gold still crisscrossed the glassy darkness of his body, yet now from those cracks a glowing golden ice had formed, jagged edges giving the illusion of stylized hair along his forearms and shins, as well as a magnificent jagged icemane.  The mighty fist of the forest roared a terrible battle cry and exploded into a whirling engine of destruction and carnage.

Magnar starts singing (the cue for the others to attack). Activate Badge of Valor, Swift cast Inspirational boost, Inspire Courage, using Words of Creation. Aria and Thor now have +10 to attack and damage rolls for this round plus 10 more after that.

Magnar activates Lion Form Rage/Frostrage/Feral Trance/Whirling Frenzy/Flurry of Blows and pounces pounces on the big smelly demon leader. (surprise round):

oh yeah, and IIRC if he fails the (rather easy) golden ice save on the hit that crit, I think he takes double the ravage damage.  Low DC but forcing a roll every time means they are bound to botch it eventually.

I was targeting the one you mentioned to Thor was the most obviously powerful one.

And yeah...I blame you.  I didn't know half this stuff was possible until you went "hey! Listen!"    Also your house rules and homebrews only made it more ridiculous.  Yep, I blame you...

Aria, seeing the signal, cast a spell and quickly charged at the winged demon. This was the obvious choice as it seemed her companions would not fare well if the fight went to the air. She darted in, zooming through the air only inches away from the demons skin, making precise strikes all the while.

It should take 3 attacks if I counted right. After that sacrifice 1d6 to get its nat ac in place of my nat ac, then full sneak attack until it's dead

for future reference how much metagaming do you expect with this character? I want to keep my character RP honest but I also don't want to take a bunch of posts for my combat strategically picking the number of SA i'm using, getting feedback, and taking my next iterative. I can't do it completely blind as I have a variable method and I can't roll damage that way. Not in one post anyway.

The metagaming question is a tough call. This kind of thing is easier at the table, I guess. Generally I would suggest the method with the least hassle for any of us. Unless I'm misundertanding the problem I'll suggest this:

You say, for instance, you want to keep stealing stuff until everything is gone. You just roll full SA damage and say what to withhold, and I'll deduct the average roll - 3.5 per 1d6 - until you can't steal anymore.

I have to say I feel sorry for you at this point, because while making your character I didn't have enough time to really bring you up to par with the rest of the bunch. The easiest fix I can suggest is this: Go over your favourite vestiges and find lacklustre abilities, and suggest fixes for those. Both Felgryn and Aria have homebrewed content for their character classes. Short of rewriting the binder I'm not sure where else to go here.

Thor sprung from invisibility like steam of a hot griddle. Once in combat the whipping winds and mists both concealed his form and bludgeoned his enemy into a bloody pulp. Striking from hiding he slammed int the babaus.

holy mother of god! Yeah, when you said your power level was high I didn't think you meant that high. I can either rewrite parts of the binder or just re-roll a new character. Which ever is easier from the rp and mechanics aspect.

Thor hasn't posted a save roll against the stench.

Do take note that even those who make the save are sickened! That means a -2 to attack. I'm thinking that won't change anyhting...

Alright, time to sum up the fallout for the demons...

Felgryn popped out of hiding, and within instants vanished in a literal cloud of blood and guts. When he was done the once proud Hezrou lay spattered and slowly dissolving in the sand.

Aria's tiny form began raping the birdlike demon, and every attack soundly connected. When she was done, the Vrock was reeling, bleeding from many cuts, and paralyzed in place.

Thor's airblasts likewise connected on the smaller demon. The Babau reeled after two shots, and collapsed in a heap after the second blast, just barely breathing.

What is the initiative order for round 1?  How many enemies still standing? Not counting the babau Magnar is puppeting?

You guys have to mention such things as aligned damage. As long as I don't know I'm going to assume you can't overcome DR.

Yeah that seems like a good Idea. I don't know what the range is but I can hit from 10 ft away and I have a 5 foot step.
