I've got two characters in that list. One, in Stark Industries, requires a lot of bookkeeping. I wouldn't mind *not* dealing with that, though I've also put a bunch of work doing the initial legwork. I'm ok to go with the group decision on how to condense, though I'm more interested in testing out the Remnant Mage class used on my Ultimate Forces character and seeing how that works. He could be part of any team, though, within reason.

*nods* I'm just trying to find a way to condense it fewer teams. But there hopefully could be room for new members.

maybe 4 teams?

I have three. If I had to pick one... it would be tough. I quite like the character in Leviathan (Shuǐguai) and also Final Fantasy Allstars (AICU812), but for different reasons (they're very different characters :P ). I could give up the one in Ultimate Forces without losing any sleep, but I do like the idea for that team (good guys trying to overturn the church). On the other hand, FFA basically has no theme except "we're badasses with bad attitudes".  :D

In-character, how will the team switching/reformation be explained?

several of the teams get separated and need to team up with others to survive a deadly encounter?

eh, we could just restart... or handwave it.

Edit: Hmm... a horrible accident/bloodbath/combat that kills off most of the team members of several teams? The remaining teams can't recruit new people (as they aren't approved as entrants to the games after they've started), and so instead merge teams and/or recruit from other devestated teams?

Could just say one of the Elder Magi (im looking at you ravener) came down and decided to thin the ranks a bit.

Honestly the only way I see to save the campaign is if everyone really limits how many characters they are playing. As it is now it appears that everyone has anywhere from 1-3 characters playing.

I would say depending on how many DM's are willing to work on the project, we should limit everyone to 1-2 characters. Unless we have 3 or more DM's...  The game just got too big. In the original game, on the old boards where I was still DMing it. We had 6 players. Total.  lol.. now there is like 30 characters. It could be done.. but it would be moving so slowly I don't think it would work very well. Lets rework things to where each DM has a team of 4-6 players to run. I think that would serve the best chances of getting this game back up and going.
Roses are Red. Gaming is fun. You're over encumbered and cannot Run.

thats kind of what i was trying to start up, but have some room for people to have a 2nd character that don't already have one (like me) or for new people to start playing

Honestly, I'd rather restart, think that would be the cleanest way of doing things.

the rest should be split into 3 groups

Stark
Leviathan
*Nan
*zook
*CNC?

15
-Kal O Fair
-Cybele
-Cipher
-Blackbird
-Grask
-Tik Tik
-Mr Fuzzynuts
-Kiora
-Latoris
-AICU812
-Drax
-Quigo
-Ssyruss
-Damask
-Crash

there's a few of us that have worked with others on the same team, maybe we try to figure out how to not split up as many groups as possible

Since it sounds like Leviathan is going to continue on, I could drop one or both of the bolded characters to prune the list a bit. I'd suggest others quote this and bold any they could drop.

Well, we could have fewer teams and only one character per player, but make them really lethal... that way we can bring in backups when our 1st characters die. :P

Or we could have all of our alternates be on the same team as our main character, and have the "roster" be flexible, so that we can change which one we're playing from one adventure to the next.

Edit: Clarified what I meant. It was ambiguous.

I'd suggest a team for alts.

I'm in both Leviathan and Stark, but I'd be more than willing to drop one of those (into Alts or whatever) if it'll help everyone else.

Random might not work since the teams were created with some sense of not stepping on each others' toes.  There will likely be some overlap if we went that way.

Question though: Have any of these characters taken the Rival Organization ACF for rangers?  Might be interesting to go for with this setting, especially if Nemesis was ruled to work with Rival Org.
