In order to have any exceptional weapon properties, an exceptional weapon must first have a +1 enhancement bonus resulting from its exceptional make. An enhancement bonus resulting from magical enchantments and other sources is not sufficient. Similarly, an exceptional enhancement bonus is not sufficient to enchant the weapon with magical properties in place of a magical enhancement bonus. Just as with enhancement bonuses, the prerequisites of an exceptional property cannot be fulfilled by a magical property of the weapon, nor can a magical property use an exceptional property.

Bladed/SharpenedPrice: +1 bonus
A bladed weapon deals slashing damage in additional to its normal damage type. For example, a bladed morningstar deals bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. The weapon also deals an additional 1d6 points of damage on a successful hit.
This weapon property is usually referred to as sharpened when applied to weapons that normally deal slashing damage, and as bladed when applied to those that don't.
Prerequisites: Craft Exceptional Arms and Armor.
ImplacablePrice: +3 bonus
An implacable weapon ignores any damage reduction that can be bypassed.
Prerequisites: Craft Exceptional Arms and Armor, Base Attack Bonus +9.
SpikedPrice: +1 bonus
A spiked weapon deals piercing damage in additional to its normal damage type. For example, a spiked longsword deals both piercing and slashing damage. The weapon also deals an additional 1d6 points of damage on a successful hit.
Prerequisites: Craft Exceptional Arms and Armor.
WeightedPrice: +1 bonus
A weighted weapon deals bludgeoning damage in additional to its normal damage type. For example, a weighted shortsword deals both bludgeoning and piercing damage. The weapon also deals an additional 1d6 points of damage on a successful hit.
Prerequisites: Craft Exceptional Arms and Armor.
WarheartPrice: See text
A warheart weapon grants its user the ability to initiate a single martial strike once per encounter. The user is treated as having an initiator level equal to the minimum initiator level required to learn to maneuver for the purpose of initiating the maneuver from the weapon. Once initiated, the weapon's maneuver cannot be recovered and used again, although this does not interfere with the user's ability to initiate the same maneuver from other sources, such as levels in a martial adept class or the Martial Study feat.
The cost of a warheart weapon depends on the level of the maneuver it grants. The warheart property can be applied to a weapon multiple times, granting the use of a different maneuver once per encounter each time. A warheart weapon with multiple maneuvers uses the highest initiator level for all of its maneuvers.
Maneuver Level | Market Price Modifier | Initiator Level |
1st | +500g | 1 |
2nd | +1000g | 3 |
3rd | +3000g | 5 |
4th | +6000g | 7 |
5th | +10000g | 9 |
6th | +15000g | 11 |
7th | +21000g | 13 |
8th | +28000g | 15 |
9th | +36000g | 17 |
Prerequisites: Craft Exceptional Arms and Armor, knowledge of the maneuver to which the weapon is keyed.
In addition to the new weapon properties introduced above, certain magical properties can also be crafted as exceptional properties. A weapon can have both exceptional and magical versions of the same property only if the property can normally be applied multiple times, in which case they stack as normal for multiple instances of the same property. Except where noted, exceptional equivalents to magical properties require Craft Exceptional Arms and Armor in place any and all of the normal magical weapon property's prerequisites. They have the same prices as their magical equivalents, although exceptional weapon still cost an extra 500g per point of equivalent enhancement bonus.
