One of the members suggested it was a power struggle.  His wife had control over the church finances or board or something and when she got into an argument at a meeting they tossed her, and when Fred suggested a little more tolerance and understanding of church members they tossed him too.

I guess he's not a "real" celebrity. But never the less, without him Gary Gygax wouldn't have had all those notes from their games to create Chainmail Bikini & D&D books you know today so I feel an urge to post it.

Greg Golemo, age 65, passed away this morning of a heart attack. He died a grandfather, a deacon of St. Mary's Catholic Church, avid tabletop player, well known Boy Scout in his local council, college roommate of Gygax, and he was ever ready to help out or lend an ear and advice to anyone in need.

As a more personal thing, I came across a thread about a 1969ish GenCon and found this.

Pictured: Greg Golemo, Dave Arneson and Mike Reese (not a 100% who is who).
And just had to share it with him. Well, I didn't do so until about three weeks ago and he spoke of getting a hold of some of the guys from back then. I have no idea if he was successful or not.

Edit - Forgot he was also Gygax's roommate during college.
