Alright, whoever is there, we should keep the story moving. Let's just drag the others along for now.

Presently looking elsewhere, which I find acceptable, unless he makes an extended stop.
"You think I'm talking about breaking the rules?"
"No I'm just trying to figure out how far you want them bent."

Torgthen is out of glaring concerns, so warp works.

Ok, I'm going to have to share this with you:

This is what Omen wrote when he had to make the saves against the transformation:

Quote from: Omen of Peace on Januray 22nd, 2011
I rolled tons of Will saves and the transformation will take precisely 24h in-game. I'm safe for another year or so in RL time. ;-)

I'll edit my post when we have the results of the second affliction's saves, then.

Yeah, we really should...

On that note I realize it's currently my 'turn' post wise, but I have nothing to add beyond 'follow demons' and figured mthor wanted to do that post.

I am unsure if you consider that enough noise to attract your attention.

One of you should do that, after which I'm then going to try and provide a plot hook to finally combine the parties.

Time for a little strategy discussion with the people on my team...what do you guys think?  The idea of one shotting a Balor is appealing but can we really do it?  Also...what happens if we do and then all the other creatures get to attack?  I'd feel better if we had one or two more party members on our side...

We need to think through our tactics carefully if we are going to battle...or we can keep doing the sneaky thing and just watch them to see what happens, though that does keep us in passive reacting mode....

Ok, even planning an attack on a balor at level 11 must involve a LOT of metagaming, or some good knowledge rolls. You might try those, first.

I'm pretty certain you can dish out enough HP damage to kill it in one round, its AC isn't so high, (if you can get around the DR), unless I'm mistaken. However, this requires that probably ALL of you have to be right there next to it in round 1 to surprise-insta-gib it, or else it'll act, which means you'll then be facing two Balors and a host of SLAs and other abilities.

Let's be fair, if they can't survive the retaliation, they can't survive the death throes.

Well, at least after the death throes which will do at least 50 damage they won't survive against the rest of the demons...:)

Well as far as ambushing goes, Aria can open a portal right on top of it and then we can all have one round to try to kill it, two for everyone who wins initiative. Alternatively, could try freeing some of the slaves and convincing them to help us. Or we could try killing off the weaker ones one by one, leaving the balor by himself (probably wont work out well given Balors aren't idiots).

Why are we fighting these guys anyways? We have no idea who they are or what they're doing. So some reconnaissance is in order. I mean, I don't mind killing them just 'cuz, but I would prefer an rp reason.

Portal doesn't work, you still need a move action to leave one IMHO. DDoor or teleport can work, but then you need another guy to do that, because usually the caster can't act afterwards.

Oh, and... Thor wants to fight them :).
